  1. Looks great I’ll probably have to wait till next year to get some
  2. Rodger that’s a great photo good times for sure. What drag strip was it taken at?
  3. We are living in the best time ever to build drag cars of all types . With all the reissues from round two and Atlantis . Along with the new awb mopars , and comet cyclones form möbius . Plus some aftermarket decals. I hope some young modelers read this and draw some inspiration . These small and relatively easy to build they lend themselves well to all levels of detail. The Atlantis fiat alone is a wealth of spare parts with two complete front axle assembly’s. The engines in this kit can easily be swapped out with the engines from amt’s double dragster kit. Which is a legendary kit full of spare parts. Then round two gives us the best altered kit of all the bantam blast . Oh and If you’re reading this round two the winged express would be a welcome addition.
  4. I know that I’m really getting low on my parts pack slicks supply. It would be great to see all of them reissued . Some drag front tires would be great too.
  5. Wow you did some amazing detail work . It’s so cool that you built a modern day sling shot I really like it
  6. I brought this one in 1988 as a Hot Rod magazine double kit. Then it sat in the box until about 10 years ago when the last release came out, and I could use the fresh set of decals. It’s a box stock build, and it sure looks great on the shelf next to the snake’s army monza . Until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  7. These early short wheel base rail jobs are really fun to build. I really like your use of the poncho 4 banger power. You did a fantastic job please build some more
  8. Yeah I think so I also keep the water hot and hold the decals with a tweezers
  9. Looks great the awb mopars are my all time favorites. I really hope mine comes out this good thanks for the decal tip . Did you put any dish soap in the decal water ?
  10. They haven’t done so with the golden commandos 65 awb Plymouth yet
  11. Yea how about it I know I’m good for a dozen of them
  12. Boy it’s about time. I hope they have a whole boat load coming over as they will most likely sell out fast
  13. Semi retired I’m actually a self employed contractor . I try to average 3-4 days of work per week, and after a long gap of not building models I’ve really been building a lot over the last 14 years. I feel that we’re in another golden age of modeling
  14. This was built from the old revell kit the early 90’s reissue. It’s box stock . The paint color is an old testors boyed’s color a pearl yellow ( or it might have been called pearl sunflower ) . These mid 70’s era revell funny car kits are some of the best ever made at least in my opinion. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  15. It’s really neat to see this kit completed. I’m guessing a lot of these don’t make it across the finish line. Job well done thanks for showing it off
  16. All your rail jobs look great. I just love those early short wheel base dragsters
  17. Wow what a great idea another use for the fantastic double dragster kit.
  18. Just a great combo you got great imagination. Love the color
  19. This is a mostly an out of the box build with the a rear wheel substitution from the polar lights funny car kits . In my opinion this is the best slingshot dragster kits of the mid to late sixties era , and their our a lot of aftermarket decals available for it . So kudos for round 2 for reissuing this fine kit. I found that it goes together real easy . I definitely don’t get into a slump building these rail jobs and I’ve built quite a few of them. For some reason this issue of model car science is kinda tough to find. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike ind
  20. Thanks Rodger. I really enjoyed the little story
  21. All of these are built from the revell kits . The Kenny Goodell car is painted with testors lacquer and covered with slixx decals . The slotted rear wheels are from my parts box. The REVELLUTION is built straight out of the box painted testors enamel white and French blue. The Hawaiian is also box stock and painted with testors lacquer with clear coat. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  22. This is one of my favorite funny car builds based on how it came out. I started out with the amt 1968 kit . I moved the front wheel wells forward using patches from a donor body . Then I painted the body with tamyia red , white & mica blue topped with a coat of clear. The decals came from joe at freemont resin I highly recommend his stuff as it’s top shelf quality. For the chassis and the tin work I used my favorite donor kit the polar lights barracuda funny car . For the engine I used the polar lights hemi with the heads and valve covers from the amt 1963 corvette kit which is a great wealth of parts , and it’s relatively inexpensive when hobby lobby has them for 40% off .!Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  23. Outstanding job with that great amt awb Chevy 2 kit . I’ve been really admiring your builds this one is just spot on . I’m really digging that 502 big block , front spoiler, and fuel tank
  24. Another sharp looking Plymouth super stocker well done
  25. Looks great I also remember seeing this car at Englishtown in the early nineties
