  1. Yes, I've heard of this technique. There is one guy on this forum (I can't remember who) that uses the flat tip of a pencil eraser coated with white acrylic and dabs it onto the raised letters.

  7. G'day all, l want to share a white letter tyre technique I was experimenting with on the weekend. I was looking at paint pens at Officeworx when I had a thought, this might work on my model tyres. It's an acrylic 1mm tip white paint pen produced by Uni Posca. For just under 5 Australian dollars I thought, why not. Back at the workbench I prepared the pen according to the instructions and used my magnifying visor. The paint flows at a manageable pace and lays down thick but drys flat. The tyre with the cragar wheel was my first attempt and went on a little thick. The other tyre I took a bit more care and it shows. These particular tyres have very bold lettering but I'm fairly confident it would work with smaller lettering too. Here are some pics of the results. Cheers, David. ??

  15. Great build there Dan, I can't help but wonder why this colour was not more popular back in 71. The hood looks to be painted or you have mastered the art of laying your larger decals faultlessly. Really well done and thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ??
