  1. One thing I noticed between the Retro Deluxe and USA-1 version. It looks like the Retro Deluxe was run througn the molds as they were left by the previous owners. The USA -1 appears to be cleaned up, the body is sharp, crisp, flash free and parting lines are barely visible.
  2. All I can say is give it a try and test on some spoons or scrap bodies to see how it reacts with other paints.
  3. It is a Base-clear system. Paint goes on semi-gloss and requires a clear topcoat. Dries fast and hard like a lacquer. Everything is pre-mixed ready to spray, no thinning needed. Their 2k clearcoat does require you to mix the activator before you spray, once you mixed the clear you can't leave it or it will harden in the jar. Shipping is very fast. Btw, they will custom mix a color for you if you don't see it. I just received a custom order last night.
  4. If you have an airbrush try Gravity Colors http://gravitycolors.com/us/product/petty-blue/
  5. Mine arrived today... Very nice kit!!
  6. The conversion involves moving the spare tire for the trailer to the Right Hand side so you don't get run over while trying to remove it.
  7. Has anyone received theirs yet? Tracking shows mine left Germany over a week ago and it has landed in customs yet. How long does it usually take to get a package from Germany?
  8. The Diablo GT announced last year, hope we finally get a Huracan. But they could get more life out of the Aventador and release an Aventador J
  9. I would like to see Moebius do multiple years of both Plymouths and Dodges from this kit.
  10. I use one of the larger pea size shot for slingshots. I drop one in every bottle I buy, works great.
  11. There is one on eBay right now showing the contents http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/MPC-MAGNUM-GT-II-CUSTOM-DODGE-1-25-1-25-Model-Car-Mountain-VINTAGE/381288093237 . I had one of these in my collection about 20 years back and got rid of it. What an ugly kit.
  12. This hobby design set has the logo on a decal. http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/47126.html
  13. I also like having the holes available, but flashed over.
  14. Thanks Jimmy! I have some resin from SMH, good stuff... I will check them out. Btw, anyone know the correct colors for the body and frame? I am assuming hok oriental blue kandy for the body. The frame looks turquoise in some pics, powder blue in others.
  15. But the complete kit comes with resin body, PE, white metal engine parts, turned aluminum and resin wheels, tires, decals and more.
  16. I wish I could have ordered more stuff, they some great stuff. With the poor Canadian dollar my kit came to $130.
  17. Not sure how many they will get. They went on sale this weekend at Scale Production and sold out yesterday. I don't know if they are releasing more. I ordered mine on Monday.
  18. Thanks for the info. I need to start tracking down some parts.
  19. I have been wanting to build a 1969 Jungle Jim Nova for some time. I am looking for recommendations on what parts to use. I understand the Polar Lights Funny Cars have the best chassis, which Polar Lights kit do I look for that has the correct chassis for the Nova? Who makes a suitable resin body for the Nova? Any other information would be appreciated.
  20. Finally, after searching for a few years without luck, Scale Productions re-released it's 1967 Mustang "Eleanor" Transkit and I bought myself one. Nearly sold out after going on sale this weekend.
  21. A few tips: - without a tank your compressor will cycle continuously - a siphon feed airbrush needs more pressure than a gravity feed to get the same result - when adjusting your pressure, try with the trigger depressed and adjust while air is flowing. Your gauge will show a higher pressure when no air is flowing. - also, I don't not think you can get more than 10-15 psi continuously without a tank from those small compressors - Vallejo paints tend to clog the airbrush quickly and need constant cleaning/flushing when spray degrades - are you using Model Air or thier Game Color (or similar). Any vallejo with air in the name is ready to go, thier others are very thick and need to be reduced quite alot. - practice with different air pressures and paint viscosities (thinner/thicker) until you find the sweet spot for your setup
  22. You will love the gravity feed. I have several models of Badger Airbrush, but after buying an Iwata HP-C Plus, I haven't touched my old Badger airbrushes. After I bought the Iwata HP-C Plus, I bought an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS. I used the BCS once, I hated going back to the bottom feed and haven't touched it since. The HP-C Plus comes with a 0.3 mm tip and I use it for everything: acrylics, enamels, automotive lacquer, basecoat and acrylic enamels and 2k clear.
  23. Not sure what your refering to. The buildup pics of the Missle show pie crust slicks out back.
  24. Not the same stuff. Tamiya lacquer thinner is not hot and won't attach plastic. I recently used it to thin down some clear smoke to tint some windows with no crazing of the clear parts.
  25. Thanks, I will check it out.
