  1. I have a tough enough time getting the chainsaw or leaf blower started. Doing that 24x is insane.
  2. I do a number of things to get the spacing right. Take a pencil rubbing of the old trim and reference marks so you can mark out their location when the time comes. A piece of fine line tape under the letters keeps them straight as you apply them. If the trim is large enough to hide the hole like door locks, I drill a small hole with a #80 bit in the center of the lock cylinder before sanding it off.
  3. actually you can get a MCG kit for the 50 Olds
  4. Too big or too little I can live with. I just hope we never see the stupid donut boxes kits came in for a bit in 90s... so many lost pieces.
  5. I wish Aoshima would leave a bit more space in their boxes. Ever see one of their Lamborghini kits, once you take the trees out, it is nearly impossible to fit everything back in the box unless you remembered the exact layout they were originally packed.
  6. A quick tip if you carry a laptop to work. A laptop bag will conceal one Japanese flat type box along with your laptop. Or several loosely packed supplies.
  7. How does Tom @ Spotlight dig up this stuff. The last few years going to yard sales, flea markets, etc, etc and I find nothing. Yet Spotlight can find anything/everything month after month.
  8. I like it. Looks like half F1 car and half Tron light cycle.
  9. Just buy one of these from Model Car Garage and your set.
  10. I am no expert on BM cars, but there were different phases you could order from mild to wild. The revell '69 BM Camaro represents the wild phase III car. I have seen pictures of cars being represented as BM cars that looked relatively mild except for a few aftermarket parts thrown in, perhaps these are the phase I & II packages. As I understand it, these cars were built to order for the customer so no two were alike. Unlike the Yenko cars which were all built to the same spec.
  11. Nice, with the 442 grille this is definitely on my must have list. Are there black 442 stripes included? Or just white? I wish Revell would learn how to print the correct gold for the stripes, they look caramel colored rather than gold. Add the new MCG detail set and this can be an awesome kit.

  13. Scale Motorsports has some http://www.scalemotorsport.com/nuts-bolts-washers-duzs-fasteners-photoetch-set.html
  14. None that I know of. But I do remember trying to fit the top from the Revell/Monogram 1964 Mustang Convertible, it was a close fit and shape but did need some work to fit.
  15. No not the Fwd setup. It did have an Olds rearend (forget which year), went with the Olds rims.
  16. I wish the model companies would bring back many of these old kits which had beautifully accurate bodies. But tool up new chassis and maybe interiors. Similar to what Amt did with the 1970 Coronet, old body on new chassis.
  17. I received a set of the A12 Mopar wheels. Simply amazing, every detail of the 1:1 wheel is captured. They are even pre-drilled for valve stems. Joseph has created another winner.
  18. That was a great track, all the big names in drag racing would come there. My Mom's brother raced there and we spent every weekend at the track. Here is a few pictures of my uncles Thames at Bison.
  19. Awesome! Thanks Dave!
  20. A friend of my parents owned/raced a red white & blue Super Stock AMX back in 1969. Unfortunately the car burned up in a garage fire years later. Be nice to have a new AMX kit.
  21. The SC Rambler was among those last released also.
  22. Any updates? Can't wait, I already have a bottle of Dawnfire Mist paint sitting on the counter.
  23. As far as I know Jameston is still in business. Last I heard he had a new job and was very busy.
  24. There is a Corvair Rampside on the Shapeways site. http://www.shapeways.com/product/DNQ9NEENG/chevy-corvair-rampide-pickup-truck-body-1-25th-sca?li=search-results-1&optionId=20140724 http://www.shapeways.com/product/BNV7S3479/chevy-corvair-rampide-pickup-truck-parts-1-25th-sc?li=search-results-1&optionId=20734531
  25. Nice! There is a wrecker not far from me that had/has a few '59 & '60 El Caminos stashed away in a barn on the property and a few convertibles as well. If I already didn't have too many projects, I would love to have an El Camino.
