So the front end height looks better. Every one except yours looks too high in the front and realistically the back end on the 1:1 car is a tad higher than the front. Good job. I know when I built the Hemi Cuda I used the custom setting for the front end and assume the AAR Cuda comes with the extra parts from the Hemi Cuda kit.

Liking it and love the more correct 340 air cleaner.

Very nice. It is really hard to believe how big those front bumpers were. Great job.

Thanks everyone. I wanted to stop multiple times and give up but finished it and I am glad. Not my best paint job but it is okay, probably should have used my airbrush but bought paint in a can. It is automotive paint specific for my car. The paint also is a shade darker than my 1:1 car. Italeri is not quite Tamiya quality that I can say.

Thanks a couple more pictures outside. Need to put the back wiper on and then I am done. Thanks again

So I am almost done with doing my Porsche 993. Needs a final wax, rear wiper, and the tail pipe tips. This has been a bit of a nightmare for me. Paint has given me fits and I used some parts like headlight and wheels from the Burago metal kit. Sits well and overall a decent kit. Not a Tamiya! On to my Monogram Judge after many years. I am going to post more pictures this weekend. Thanks

I love it.

So finally getting close to finishing my 993. It is an Italeri kit combined with some parts off the Burago metal kit. I should get this wrapped this week. Aventurine green metallic.

Great progress. I liked what you did with windows, I have never thought to do that. I also like the headlights.

Very nice build. I wonder what it was like to drive one back in the day? lol!

Great job. I am reading the book Faster right now the true story of Rene Dreyfus and his grandprix career and Rudi was a big part of the story. -
They are not junk and they build into pretty nice replicas. I have a 1:1 Coronet 500 and except for the grill it looks pretty right on to me. The nice thing on this kit over the AMT original are the wheel covers if you build it stock. My 1:1 car is bright red and the bright red on this kit after polished looks pretty similar.

1965 Pontiac chassis anyone?
drodg replied to djflyer's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
on the 1:1 cars isn't the 65 Grand Prix on the same chassis as the Catalina and the Bonneville is a longer wheelbase? -
I built two of these this fall. They are pretty good looking when all said and done. I totally agree with you about the grill, it just doesn't look real correct no matter what you do. Great job.

Nice job.

Love this build. I really like the wsw tires and with the Dodge hubcaps. I have a set of those down in my basement that came off of my 69 R/T hardtop I had years ago. It came with those caps and I put Magnum 500's on it. Great build.

Ever buy kits...just to "Pirate" parts?
drodg replied to Southern Fried's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
all of the time! I bought from Hobby Lobby an AMT kit for the blue walls so I could use them for Motor City Resin's excellent 66 Barracuda S kit. -

Great job. What year is that? -
I have always thought that the mid 60's Thunderbirds along with the 68-70 Charger and the first Riviera were some of the most beautiful cars of all time. Thanks for posting that.
