What a great group of Falcons.... I am particularly drawn to the black fastback concept car (was that a resin body?), and the SOHC It To Me wagon..... Would also LOVE a closer look at the Valiant pickup on the shelf above the Falcons.

Reference info for Testors 1/25 Miss Budweiser hydroplane
NitroMarty replied to LDO's topic in Wanted!
Don't have any reference pics, but you scored HUGE at $5.... I am jealous! ? I built one back in the mid-70's. Unfortunately it was among the 50 or so models that my little brother and his buddies absolutely trashed while I was at work one day. -
I know this is a huge long shot but..... I am in desperate need of an interior bucket, dashboard, and glass for a Johan Rebel. I received an unfinished project that was started by a club member who has passed away. I would really like to finish it in his honor

Curbside Pro Touring Style Yenko Chevette....
NitroMarty replied to NitroMarty's topic in Model Cars
LOL..... Yeah, the car that inspired me was, and I'm being kind here, extremely crude. But, it planted the idea in my head, of what if it was done right. ?- 28 replies

A simple little curbside build, that started out with a broken promo, while the Yenko Chevette concept was inspired by a car, that sat for sale, in front of a local storage facility several years ago... Now for the finished product.... Body mods were limited to molding in a cowl scoop, that was cultivated from a Revell 1/32 scale '69 Z 28 hood, while the rear spoiler is a narrowed Revell 1/25 '69 Z snap kit unit..... The stock Chevette front and rear bumpers were split down the center, narrowed, and tucked in closer to the body. New axle holes were drilled to mount big n little large diameter Corvette style Rally Wheels, sourced from a 1/32 scale Jada diecast. Paint is Testors Extreme Lacquer Icy Blue, cleared with Duplicolor 1K (Love that stuff)... Decals are a mix of Revell kit decals and a set of 1/32 scale slot car decals that I found on eBay. Interior features the custom bucket seats from an AMT Dodge D50 pickup kit, Corvette shifter, and a custom steering wheel from the parts box. Interior finish is Tamiya Light Blue Pearl.... Carpet is blue embossing powder..

Very nicely done!!! To say that kit is a bit of a fussy build, would be an understatement for sure. I built an original IMC version, back in the late 80's. Never was happy with it.

VERY nicely done!!!

An older quick build that I did probably 15 or more years ago... Revell's Porsche Boxter snapper, dressed up with the big Torque Thrust style wheels from the Revell '63 Vette roadster, and painted with HOK Cinnamon lacquer froml Black Gold...

Fan-FREAKIN-tastic!!! ?????? This is without a doubt the coolest build of that old MPC flip-nose kit that I ever recall seeing!

That sure is going to be pretty! Loving the wheel/tire combo.

Probably around 15 years ago, during a Build n Bull session with my buddies, l mocked up a Monogram Model A coupe as a gasser. It sat at the back of my bench for a while, but eventually was just stuffed back in the box and put back in the kit closet in favor of other projects.... Fast forward to a couple of years ago, and I spotted one of Glen Ford's resin Vicky bodies on eBay and decided to see how it might work for something a bit different. A short while later we moved from a house to an apartment and the model workbench was packed away for a few months. Then, in June of last year, we got a larger, nicer apartment and I was able to set up a rather nice little bench and start building again. Still, the A gasser project was pretty much forgotten..... That is until I picked up MCM #222 and saw Tim Boyd's awesome article on building Revell's A coupe as a gasser... That really lit a fire under me, so I dug out my project and started going to town on it!!! Not quite involved as Tim's build, I think it still has a fun gasser vibe to it Supercharged Chevy small block was sourced from the lastest version of Monogram's Bad Man kit. As of this evening, is how the project sits.

Sweet build!!!! Could we ask you for more pics?

Cindy is great about my hobby and is quick to let others know that I build model cars and has even known to bring home kits and that she picked up at rummage sales.... She has actually found me some very cool stuff through the years, including an airbrush and paint booth!

I just keep scrolling through the pics of your truck and always find something that I missed before. Fantastic build! -
Diggin' it!!!! Your modifications went a long towards correcting many of the MPC/AMT kit's shortcomings.

Looks fast just sitting there!!! Diggin' the "Monster Hemi"
