The firewalls are very similar as is the general layout. The washer bag is bigger for 67 so I remove it and scratch build a smaller one. You can see all of the modifications I do in the 66 GT Fastback WIP thread. You could put the 67 Chassis in without the engine compartment, but why? Otherwise, you have to scratch build one. I did scratch build the engine compartment in the 66 convertible build.

Beautiful! I was thinking you did this in the 4 days of 2024 and then saw the work…no way.?

Great looking build! I actually made this livery this Forza Motorsport some years ago, I love the look of this car.

Very nice. I miss seeing Steve on Barrett Jackson and his own YouTube site. Hopefully he will be back at it soon and feeling much better.

Great looking build, gorgeous 356!

Beautiful work! Glad to see I am not the only one kit bashing the 1967 AMT kit to make their 66 AMT mustang builds so much better!

Finally finished the build of the scale model version of our 1966 Mustang GT. Including working headlights - taillights - gauge lights and separate working interior lights. I had broken one of the taillight LEDs and my replacement came in today. if you haven’t followed the WIP thread you can check it out here:

Great looking build. I have a 2018 Mustang Convertible myself I have been wanting to do a build of. I think I am going to see what I can do with the revell snap kit and a lot of scratch building.

Love the brass era cars, nice work!

The enclosed cars actually have a 3 position switch, on-off-on. First headlights/taillights/gauges. The other interior lights. I do have plans this year for an c2 and c3 corvette and will need to figure out a way to make the lights open/pop up when turned on.

My 1966 GT fastback build also used mostly 1967 Mustang kit for most parts, chassis, engine, interior panels, etc.

Starting on the the 4th Mustang build of our 5 real Mustangs currently in our family. My daughters 1966 Mustang Coupe she affectionately named Tony, for Anthony Leedo “Lee” Iacocca. I am once again kit bashing an AMT 1966 coupe kit from the early 2000s and another AMT 1967 Mustang GT Fastback. Again it will likely be 75% from the 1967 Kit, the chassis and suspension from that kit is great and far better than the old 1966 AMT kits that really show their promo roots.
