What did you see on the road today?

last weekend near Clinton. MO fender badge says it is an F-5. No evidence there was a seat, but then again the floor was rusted tread/ diamond plate instead of original steel. -
Holding a part to paint

ditto all of the above. I bought some alligator clips mounted on bamboo sticks from HL. If you are pinning a part, you could drill it for the pin, glue in a longer length of wire and use something to hold the wire. -
55 Chevy chrome

I would say it is your choice, since it is not a stock build. What looks right to you? Do you have a specific build style/ time period you are looking for? In the real world, enlarging the rear wheel openings would be beneficial when changing wheels/ tires, but it could also result in ruining the flow of the body lines. -
I have a set of Sears decals I stumbled on going through my stash. They are from an AMT truck kit, but older than the NASCAR trucks. numbers on the back are 5902701 and DH1026 73 30M. It includes a list of Testors colors used to mix the old sears green. Any ideas what kit it is from? I'm guessing a big-rig and trailer combo, possibly 1/43?

this past weekend Saw 4 stripe yellow lines (double double yellow lines) dividing the lanes of traffic in MO. It split for turn lanes then went back to quad yellows. Anyone familiar with the why of it? -
They usually have what I want, its better quality, and their staff know their stuff. I was tired of the plastic hardware to hang the bar in my closet to hang clothes on breaking. the only place that had metal ones was the smaller store. They also are the only place in town to get small diameter wire (music wire) for pinning parts, making axles, etc.

I once got a telephone bill for 3 cents. It cost them 15 cents to mail it.

Are the screws self-tapping, or do they screw into threaded holes or nuts? If self tapping, perhaps a self-tapping wood screw? You could try a non-big box hardware store (like Ace, Tru-value or local owned) since their staff usually is more knowledgeable. Model RR websites are another option, for both hardware and bulbs.

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?

Adaptive cruise/ smart braking. On a road trip this weekend, I pulled out to make a pass on a 2 lane road. guy ahead doing 10-20 below posted for miles. long passing zone no traffic. My car starts to accelerate then suddenly slows to match his 20 under. near the end of the passing lane the car decides to go, and I just get over before the top of a hill. I don't like that automatic stuff. And to turn it off, every time you start the car you have to navigate through 4 screens. -

Facing the good ol' "Your package is out for delivery" and "your package is being held for pick-up" messages 1 min apart. Not delivered and not being held (supposedly) -
Have to agree. If you get what you ordered it is either junk or does not fit. I bought brand new everything (drums, shoes, hardware, and bearings_ to rebuild the all original rear brakes on my Ford Festiva. Compressed the cylinder all of the way and still can't get the drum on. I guess it's modification time.

I missed the Monte Carlo. Might buy one for the interior, aero window and rear deck to build an Aero Olds, similar to a post elsewhere on the forum. And if I can find the correct decals for a white/red combo, I will build one for my sister (her first new car).
