I've opened mine and reviewed the instructions. before I build the boom and bed I will definitely review the instructions multiple times. They do seem to jump around. -
I guess you could call it today. The dreaded "what are you doing/ are you ever coming to bed?" said the early bird to the night owl at 02:00.

Is it possible you are remembering the Dixie Challenger Hot Wheels and somehow associating it with those parts?

Here is the link: Official website of the Dakar Rally for networks there is the obvious Official broadcasters and a semi-hidden TV-Broadcast if you click on "Dakar world"
-
According to the official Dakar website, the rally is 3-17 Jan. And U.S. coverage is listed as Peacock. Red Bull TV will have it worldwide. hopefully it is more than the 30-minute highlights but not holding my breath.

I know there was a kit for the "Yankee Challenger". Was there also a "Dixie Challenger" (I know there was a HW diecast)?

Tamiya panel liner question
rattle can man replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've tried a product called the detailer, India ink and cheap acrylic craft paint. For me, the craft paint works best. -
Another foggy, drizzly day. that's 4 days in a row. At least one more to go tomorrow too.

Got 3D, now what? HELP!
rattle can man replied to customline's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Good to know about the water-based material. I'm going to try my first attempt at printing a file at my library and they use water based/ acrylic resin for environmental and health concerns. painting it will be the next experiment after printing. They couldn't/ wouldn't advise on acrylic, lacquer, etc. -
if you want a faded look you could use very light coats of really thinned down white or light gray through an airbrush in areas you want faded. Model Railroaders use this trick all of the time for weathering. But you cannot achieve it with a spray can. Maybe use this with the above-mentioned primer and sanding technique and you are on your way.

The difference in the rocker panels could be due to the Cobra having stock Fairlane/ Torino rocker panels and the panels on the Talladega s panels were re-worked, NASCAR specials. The rocker panels of the Talladega were re-rolled to allow it to sit lower than regular Fairlane bodies and still be legal.

I've been using Bona acrylic floor care. -
Making sure the lid and bottle are clean is a big must. Use hot water and minimal force if they are stuck. Brute force can bend the metal lids out of shape, and once bent, they will not seal properly. An open flame would be questionable, since they are flammable. Plus excessive heat combined with a sealed container could lead to failure, from pressure, of the lid (flying across the room, along with some paint) or bottle (cracked or shattered glass) with paint getting everywhere, at a minimum.

Mittens keep your fingers warmer. All of the fingers are in one pocket of warm air instead of being individually exposed to cold air. Yes you lose dexterity, but you don't lose fingers to frostbite.

Chopped 40 Ford Sedan Delivery Traditional Custom
rattle can man replied to Ferbz's topic in WIP: Model Cars
The chop looks good. I once had the same idea. The project stalled because it was more difficult than I thought. It's still in the stash somewhere. -
As stated superglue/ACC dries by polymerization. Polymerization is a chemical reaction that does emit gasses (not necessarily VOCs) that can affect other materials. Plastic cement and other types of glue do dry by solvent evaporating.

Anyone know if parts for the newer tooling can be interchanged easily with the older tooling?
-
Actually it is Olson. the thread is under the trucks aftermarket.
-
I beleive Olsen has gone out of business due to health reasons. There is a thread somewhere that someone is trying to make good on orders placed but never shipped.
