  1. U.K. and U.S. Essex engines are totally different. The British Essex would be correct for Fords built in Europe. The Canadian built Essex would be correct for U.S. built vehicles.
  2. The '83 Marquis would have had an Essex 3.8L (90 degree) The Essex 3.8L could have been in 1:1 82-97 T-birds/ cougars, 88-95 Taurus, 82-86 and 94-04 Mustangs, and 82-86 Mercury Capris. No guarantees that kits of these subjects have these engines or not. Other vehicles also used these 2 engines, but I don't remember any kits of them. EFI in some form may have appeared as early as 83, but wasn't widely used until roughly 86. And the block architecture was not simply a cut down SBF. The supercharged engine debuted in 89, backed up by either an AOD or Mazda sourced manual trans. The British Essex engine was a totally different engine.
  3. AMT '50 Ford convertible has twin carbs and I believe Offenhauser heads.
  4. A coat of silver paint should keep the pink from bleeding through. At least that is what others have said on this forum for red plastic.
  5. I can't help with the whole sheet, but I think I have some of the sponsor decals I could scan.
  6. The Surgeon General needs to put out this message: Warning: Life can cause death. Breathing means you can inhale things from the air, natural or manmade that can kill you; eating and drinking means you can ingest things that can kill you (natural or manmade); existing means you are constantly exposed to radiation that can kill you. Life is short. Enjoy it.
  7. I am leaning toward it being an Aurora 1:32 scale (Maybe a kit-mingle?). They were all hotrods with different engines and induction systems. But the body has to be modified. None of the various scale and MFG. I looked at on Scalemates have that body, but the fenders sure look to be Aurora to me
  8. I looked at 1:32, 1:35, 1:43, 1:48, and 1:56 scales.
  9. I don't think it is one of the Highway Pioneers. From the picture, it does not look like the Body has been modified. the Highway Pioneers on ScaleMates all have 1/4 windows, 4 doors, or convertible tops. Further, All of the Aurora small scale Model Ts also have more windows and doors. But they did have a crude looking Hemi and mags.
  10. Take a minute to remember the 6 people and 1000 wounded in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing on this date.
  11. from my experience with my late wife, it does work. Her first battle with cancer we had people and churches, temples, and mosques praying all over the world and many different religions and she beat the odds they gave her. I chalk it up to the prayers.
  12. That A wing could make an interesting show car or land speed racer.
  13. I built two of the Lindberg releases. aside from cleanup it is a versatile kit. one was a Wedge chopped, fenderless, black hotrod (I don't remember where I borrowed the dropped front axle and rear slicks from) black primer. The other a green body/ yellow fendered hotrod tow truck.
  14. Just wanted to make sure he is doing okay. I'll continue prayers and thought for him.
  15. Bottom Line: read the label and the MSDS. If unsure which to use, test it. Each of these glues need different methods. But the quality of your bond depends on clean, bare plastic surfaces for the best joint possible. It has been a long time since I tried citrus-based glue, but I remember it did not work that great. But perhaps newer formulas do.
  16. I would think if there were hydraulics on all of the ramps it would work without separate ramps.
  17. It's best to check with the maker. Some 3d printers advise against soaking parts.
  18. I think I will just hold off on a trade for now. I will probably just help someone out with parts if needed. It was part of a lot of kits I got in an auction, not really something I would build o
  19. WEC does make it hard to catch all of the races using their app. And I used their contact email and they pretty much said not all races could be viewed in the US, even though it appears MAX will carry them all.
  20. The only thing with scanning old decals and printing on new paper is that most printers do not have white ink. If you use white paper, you have to trim carefully. Or in the case of the "Sears" decals I'm trying to use, it's just white on white, so scanning and printing is impossible.
  21. I have a complete sheet with a pair that looking more like orange than yellow. It is one line. not two like your picture shows. Definitely not red as I also have one red.
  22. Didn't people upgrade by swapping in a Fiat X 1/9 drivetrain?
