Can anyone recommend a good source for basic 3d printing info for someone not familiar with the technology (from CAD to slicers tom hardware)? If Shapeways doesn't come back in some form, I am tempted to start printing.
I guess it does not have the 87 turbo parts. I have both '87 and '88 kits, and the turbo parts are the only difference (if I remember correctly). Neither is labeled Shelby.
I found the decals. I have the bottom version. are you looking for the whole sheet? I could use the wood grain for the bed, Farmer's market, and the instrument panel decals.
I would be tempted by any of these. But my preference is early ('60-'63) Falcon or Comet. I know a 4dr is a pipe dream, but stock or at least Ford powered (unlike the Ranchero, which I believe is a BBC).
but a spoon test would only be valid for the here and now. What happens to the clear in a week, month, etc? In my experience, clears don't necessarily go on yellow, but over time turn yellow. For sure Testors gloss enamel yellows over time.
As a note, I tried matching it up to an AMT '67 Vette. It fit over the stock rear body work. I will have to figure out how to deal with the blending the thickness of the plastic in. without losing body details. creating new grills shouldn't be too hard. But before commencing a build, I need to figure out a custom front end.
without the kit in front of me and not being too familiar with the actual car, my educated guess is controls for the side vents or perhaps hood and brake releases.
I was digging in the stash for some parts and came across this. First I thought Tiger shark, then Dream Rod, but it is neither. Any ideas? it was part of a junkyard auction lot.
