  1. So true! They set an appealing price and make it up in the "shipping and handling". Sadly, all in short supply these days.
  2. Period perfect, well done on both!
  3. That's gorgeous! It's a great kit and you've done it justice.
  4. Great model! From an era when you could tell them apart on the track.
  5. Nicely done. This is my favorite Barracuda body style of them all.

Well done. I didn't realize the Fujimi kit had an engine, aren't they usually curbsides?
  7. Outstanding! That color is perfect for an early '60s barge.
  8. Great work! I wouldn't even attempt those decals
  9. Great pair! My first car was a '66 Monza hardtop, these bring back some great memories.
  10. Agreed, looks great so far!
  11. I was thinking about a hard top from a '59. Or would a '59 Caddy top be closer?
  12. It's a convertible, 4 screw bottom. Body is straight, I couldn't get the windshield out without breaking the windshield frame. I'd prefer a hardtop but too many $$. Do you think a '59 Chevy top would be suitable? I don't know what it has for paint but 2 days in 91%, 4 days in the purple pond, and 2 days in Easy Off and it still has some stubborn spots!
  13. Stripping paint from a '59 Buick promo scored on eBay. Building tool boxes and parts for my garage dio.
  14. Nice! You really know how to scratch these land yachts. What did you use for the basis of this one?
  15. Well done. I'm thinking you were very lucky with the decals! I've got some half that age that fall apart if you look at them.
  16. Peter Max? What is the car supposed to be, 64 Galaxie?
  17. Great idea, well executed! Ed Roth and the Army in the same sentence, I'll bet that's a first
  18. That's great! I didn't know there was a 1/24 kit of this, brings back a lot of memories.
  19. That is correct, my mistake. I like the fact someone is trying new stuff, I will get a Monte Carlo also when (if) they get produced.
  20. IIRC it's a curbside kit, no engine? Just cut the axles and glue the wheels up a little higher in the wheelwells.
  21. Got my kit this week. Great decals, the kit seems reminiscent of the Polar Lights kits. I hope it goes together easier than one of those!
  22. The AMT Petty car would be the simplest to get together. That might not be the easiest paint scheme however. Also it would look much better with the ride height adjusted, the stock kit sits way too high IMO.
  23. Beautiful model! My parents had a '58 convertible when it was just a used car, we took a 2 week road trip to Las Vegas and back from Ohio. The only trouble was drum brakes coming down Pikes Peak! My father wishes he still had it at today's prices.
  24. All of the above and more! As stated in another thread, those Johan Caddy's are some of the finest kits ever molded, you've done this one justice.
