  1. Definitely wash those parts! At the least, I would use dish soap & warm water. Personally, I usually use TSP solution (trisodium phosphate, available as a powder at most hardware places) to clean resin pieces.
  2. That interior color looks great, really close to the one-year-only Sienna. What shade is your exterior going to be?
  3. REALLY? 🫢
  4. That's a cool build, definitely different. I really dig the color!
  5. Agreed. Personally, I have trouble shelling out current retail for yesteryear's kit design & tech. Nostalgia is cool, but for me, the money to fun ratio just isn't there with a lot of R2's recent releases.

That orange is perfect for this, it looks like scale flake. Kowabunga!
  7. Looks really good! Also, I tried finding those crate kits online and they're pretty hard to come by. Nice score for you!
  8. What did you end up using for the visor?
  9. That's what I would opt for in this situation. Apologies for the overly simplified diagram, but something like this... Personally, I like using basic tan masking tape for making scale straps. It's cheap, it cuts easily to different widths, you can laminate it for different thicknesses, and it's simple to weather with washes. Usually I use thin washes of whatever browns, tans or grays I have at hand. Works well for the weather beaten look.
  10. I would guess a pre-2013 model, based on the front fascia. So, 2009-2012. The front end is a little different on the 2013-2020 versions. There were quite a few small mechanical changes over the years, but the style redo is the only way I can tell the early models apart from the rest. I'm not a huge fan of Tamiya's decal sheets in general. In my experience, they take a lot longer to come loose from the backing.
  11. That looks sweet! Those seats are really well done.
  12. Sweet, another Z car! I love 'em. Two big thumbs up.
  13. In the battle of the '94-'98 Mustang models, the Revellogram kit is much better than the AMT offering in many ways. This kit isn't fun to build, but with a little work and a lot of patience, it makes for a decent early SN95. The color scheme you picked should look really good.
  14. Definitely an oldie but goodie! It looks fantastic, what a sweet build.
  15. That's a sweet bit of scratchbuilding right there. Looks great! Are you working up a little Fisher/Horning crossflow head for that?
  16. Some really great work going on with this one! Definitely following along.
  17. Agreed. Tacky Glue is a great temporary assembly adhesive. It is tacky and holds parts in place well. You don't need to use much, and that makes removing the dried glue afterwards that much easier.
  18. She's a looker! That blue and white combo is sharp. Really nice build.
  19. Since we've only got the one pic to go on, I'd say this one is going to remain a mystery until someone runs into the owner of the Olds and gets a definitive answer. Just because cars are built on the same platform doesn't mean all body panels interchange. It's possible that the owner of the Olds used '61 Buick or Pontiac parts - it's not any easier to find them, btw - but there are huge differences in the rear quarters, rear bumper, tail light panels and trunk lid between these cars. Making everything work together would be an intensive, and undoubtedly expensive, undertaking by a skilled autobody shop. I'm not saying it couldn't be done. As a custom job, it certainly is cool. But until we get more info, we're all just spitballin'.
  20. The paint is amazing and the brightwork looks great. However, the louvered tail lights only have chrome on the edge of each individual slat, not the whole surround. On the real cars it's pretty subtle, and in 1:25 scale, the areas that you have to chrome are very, very tiny.
  21. I wouldn't hold my breath. He hasn't been active since July. It is a cool build, though.
  22. Since we're talking about rare options, this might be of interest: https://www.holley.com/blog/post/unearthed_the_cuda_just_around_the_corner/?srsltid=AfmBOop17U3ohZrY6vO319KPTzWnq9v7Kv29JUnp-OV-H6yx5cy-p00I
  23. Wow, she's an absolute beauty! Subtle and cool. 🍺
  24. I love the color! Really nice build. ??
