G’day John, very nice Olds you have there. Black and red go so nicely together. Nice detail on the wheels too, I’m building the Revell 71 442 at the moment and I’m not looking forward to detail painting the wheels on it. Hope my 71 turns out as nice as your 69. ??

AMT 1967 Chevelle Pro Street w/Ghost Flames in 1/25 Scale.
STU111 replied to Dragonhawk1066's topic in Model Cars
G’day Craig. Yep, that looks sweet as. The flame job is beautifully executed, subtle, as ghost flames should be. All round, a top looking Chevelle. ?? -
G’day Calvin. If you do strip the hood, another way of dealing with the turn signal lights is to use Tamiya clear orange x26. I used this on my build of this kit instead of the kit decals. Hope this helps.

G’day Bob, despite the trouble this one gave you it turned out really well. That’s a great looking wagon there. ??
-
That is a sweet looking Nissan! Very well detailed. ??

Nice job Mark, right down to the licence plate. Glad you modeled it pre chase and not after! Although, a before and after display would give you an excuse to build another. ???

G’day Michael, that interior is beautifully done.?? With what you’ve posted on here so far, I think I’ve got a rough idea how it’s going to look, ( unless there’s a plot twist to come! ) I’m looking forward to seeing the final result.

G’day Michelle, there’s a racing category in Australia called “sports sedans”. It was really big down here in the 70’s and 80’s and is still pretty popular today, your Mustang looks a lot like one of these cars, with the wide fenders and big rubber. Top stuff. ??

G’day Calvin. I can’t offer any thoughts on your clear coat issue as I have no experience with future. I usually have 2-3 builds on the go at once as yes, you can get bogged down on one and it’s good to put it aside for a while and continue with another project, but push on with the truck, it’s looking good so far. I just finished this kit myself ( got pics posted on the forum ), and I can tell you that the interior tub is a tight fit and may need to be held with tape while the glue dries and the windshield is fiddly to get in place, but wasn’t too bad apart from that. Good save on the “rubber seal” on the firewall gap.??

Awesome looking 32. Love how you’ve given the leather seat that worn patina. Top Stuff! ??

For something built 30 years ago it’s held up nicely. Good engine bay detailing. ?? Hope mine look that good in 30 years!

This just looks on point, pale blue and white suit this so well. Very sweet looking El Camino.??

I do like a nice Dodge Dart, and l really like this one. Super clean build! ??

G’day Michelle, great job on the Demon. It screams 70’s muscle.??
-
Awesome job. That roof and body look like they were meant to be.??

G’day Michael, I don’t envy you that visit to the dentist. Some nice work on the Maxtang so far, I do like that custom shifter, very nice. Those wheels look great as well, I like the look of the Revell chrome spray on the rims.?? Gotta get me some of that stuff

Just finished this up today. Had an idea how I wanted the truck to look like when l started building it and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. There’s a progress thread on the WIP page for this build. Thanks for looking and, as always any comments welcome. Cheers, Stuart.

Cheers for that John, being in Australia, we don’t get all releases down here but I’ll keep a look out for a Revell/ Monogram release as the 40 Ford is one car I’d like to build. ??

I’m in. Anything to do with arguably the most famous Mustang ever interests me. What you’ve done looks great. ??

Ford F100 Foose
STU111 replied to eran_k's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Nice minty green. Who says you have to build it up exactly like the Foose version? I’ve got this in the stash and I want to build it a little differently as well. ?? -
This thing is insane! The Maxtang? What a concept, l’ve just gotta follow this one! ??
-
Yes, it’s the way things are going Michelle. I don’t think I’ll rush out to buy an EV, they have their advantages but I’ll always prefer a booming V8 or hot 6.

Revell 66 Chevy Fleetside pickup
STU111 replied to STU111's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Got a lot of opportunity lately to get some modelling done and apart from some touch ups, I’m calling this truck done. Thanks to you guys who checked in and those who gave advice on the kit issues . ?? I’ll put some photos up on the under glass section. Now, on to a 32 Ford 5 window. -
The BMF work is awesome on this! That alone would do my head in. All round a very sharp looking build.??
