  1. Awesome build of a well known and loved movie car. ??
  2. I thought the photos were of the real hot rod that was the inspiration, so I kept scrolling through looking for the model. Surprise! That was the model. That’s so good, l reckon there’s a scale ignition key in the dash. ??
  3. G’day Len, I’ll be following this one. I love the back story as it’s similar to a couple of cars l owned that seemed to thrive on neglect and just kept on going. Sometimes it’s not always the coolest and most powerful cars that we own that get etched into our memories, it’s the humble ones. Cheers, Stuart.
  4. G’day everyone, I’ve been on the forum for a little while now and I thought I’d have a go at a WIP. The weather is getting warmer here in Australia so I’m getting into the shed to start modelling again and I thought I’d build this one. The plan is a mild custom, lowered, nice paint and wheels. The kind of truck I’d like to drive in 1/1, (if l had the money!)l thought this would be the colourAnd I’d use these Pegasus wheels Hopefully work and other commitments won’t get in the way too much and l can build this in a reasonable timeframe. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.
  5. Got this kit in my stash. Hope l can finish mine off as nice as yours. Top stuff. ??
  6. Beautifully done. I particularly like the detail in the wheels, ( l struggle a bit with that aspect of detailing model cars ). Top stuff. ??
  7. That’s a really good looking build and the white suits the look. ??
  8. Beautiful build of a generation of Corvette that I’m yet to see in 1/1. ( rare on the streets in my part of Australia ) . Well done. ??
  9. Hi Michelle. Very tidy Skyline you have there. This is one of your best builds I’ve seen here. Top stuff. ??
  10. The title of this topic piqued my interest so I had a look, and wow! Interesting concept and beautifully executed.
  11. The 69-70 Mustangs always look great in yellow, and yours is certainly no exception. Top stuff. ??
  12. Nice looking Firebird there Michelle. I’ve liked the shape of these since l first saw that old TV show Knight Rider.
  13. Stunning paint and attention to detail. Your 1st prize for this one was well deserved.?? Top stuff.
  14. Sweet looking Pontiac. Awesome paint, the colour really pops. ??
  15. Beautiful work. Looks ready to head to the Summernats in. I owned several HQ Holdens back in my younger years, wished I’d kept a couple! Thanks for sharing this. ??
  16. Decant a little of the body colour and use a tiny brush to tidy it up. I’d wait until the chrome silver is fully dry before using this method. It works for me when l have this problem. Hope that helps.
  17. Excellent patina on this one. I love it. ??
  18. Looks tuff ! Love the wheels and the low stance.??
  19. Thanks Michael. I’m getting more familiar with my micro mesh polishing cloths and taking more time with my paint jobs. Thank you for your kind words. ??
  20. That’d snap a few necks at a car show! That is an awesome looking rod. ??
  21. Wow! I started following this in the WIP section and wondered how it would work out. Well, it turned out…..WOW! ??Awesome.
  22. Hey Michelle, this one looks excellent. Wouldn’t mind the real thing in my driveway. Nice work. ??
  23. Nice job Michelle, the Ford Capri was a great looking car and your model is no exception. ??
  24. You may find that F-20 jet in 1/32 perhaps, would be the closest. Nice job on the Corvette though, looks spot on. ??
  25. Beautifully done, it’s seamlessly come together. ??
