  1. Nice work. Yours is certainly proof that snap kits can be built into a good looking model.??
  2. You certainly did it justice. Looks great, I like the colour choice as well.??
  3. Awesome! I always look forward to your builds here with the signature LED lights. The headlight doors on this one would have put an extra layer of complexity to it I’m sure. I can see why your family won’t let you build one without the lights now. ??
  4. I’m loving this one! I admire the creativity and effort in the scratch built extra detail and how the butternut yellow paint and saddle interior trim look together . ??
  5. Pretty happy with the way the wheel tubs turned out. I plan to spray the body when the weather conditions allow.
  6. G’day Michelle. Looks good, especially around the rear end , you’ve nailed the shape of the tailgate and taillights. I used to catch a lift to work years ago with a workmate who had an HK wagon same dark blue as your model. The poor old thing must have had a hard life as it was full of rust and was eventually defected off the road by the police.
  7. These look awesome! Thanks for sharing them. ??
  8. I always have a soft spot for black paint with red interior, and as others have said the unintentional dark appearance of the Alclad chrome just works.??
  9. I didn’t know of the existence of the Maserati Boomerang . Very interesting looking car. The colour of your build looks nicer than the silver of the original car. ??
  10. Love the look of this one, patina is great. I’m looking forward to seeing this release in the hobby shops in Australia. Thanks for sharing. ??
  11. Got a start today. Because I’m going to sit it down low and with the width of my chosen wheels, I’m going to have to tub the tray. The necessary cuts seem to have gone well, just a little bit of clean up.I had some styrene sheet on hand so l had a bash at making the tubs. Only problem l had was the curved sections had to be heated over steam to make them more pliable, but l was still pushing the limits bending them around this much, but I’ve glued them together and trussed them up with tape and I’ll leave them overnight. Should be okay. cheers, Stuart.??
  12. Thanks Bob. Yes, just a mildly customised truck, and I’m interested to see how that metallic orange turns out.
  13. Smooth 39 sedan delivery there David, love that 427. ??
  14. These always look great in the high impact colours, top looking Challenger. ??
  15. Looks great! Vinyl roof sets it off nicely. I gotta be brave enough to try a vinyl roof on one of my builds.
  16. Awesome build of a well known and loved movie car. ??
  17. I thought the photos were of the real hot rod that was the inspiration, so I kept scrolling through looking for the model. Surprise! That was the model. That’s so good, l reckon there’s a scale ignition key in the dash. ??
  18. G’day Len, I’ll be following this one. I love the back story as it’s similar to a couple of cars l owned that seemed to thrive on neglect and just kept on going. Sometimes it’s not always the coolest and most powerful cars that we own that get etched into our memories, it’s the humble ones. Cheers, Stuart.
  19. G’day everyone, I’ve been on the forum for a little while now and I thought I’d have a go at a WIP. The weather is getting warmer here in Australia so I’m getting into the shed to start modelling again and I thought I’d build this one. The plan is a mild custom, lowered, nice paint and wheels. The kind of truck I’d like to drive in 1/1, (if l had the money!)l thought this would be the colourAnd I’d use these Pegasus wheels Hopefully work and other commitments won’t get in the way too much and l can build this in a reasonable timeframe. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.
  20. Got this kit in my stash. Hope l can finish mine off as nice as yours. Top stuff. ??
  21. Beautifully done. I particularly like the detail in the wheels, ( l struggle a bit with that aspect of detailing model cars ). Top stuff. ??
  22. That’s a really good looking build and the white suits the look. ??
  23. Beautiful build of a generation of Corvette that I’m yet to see in 1/1. ( rare on the streets in my part of Australia ) . Well done. ??
  24. Hi Michelle. Very tidy Skyline you have there. This is one of your best builds I’ve seen here. Top stuff. ??
  25. The title of this topic piqued my interest so I had a look, and wow! Interesting concept and beautifully executed.
