  1. If you see this in time, Bill(Ace-Garageguy) has an awesome, detailed build where he made his own tunnel and floor. Many highlights on techniques and possibly issues. Very detailed instructions.
  2. I remember building the same thing as a kid, every build was tub it out and drop a hemi in it. Your build is looking awesome so farπŸ‘πŸ‘
  3. Whatever way you choose, it's gonna be goodπŸ‘πŸ‘.
  4. Don, if you have any flat styrene, that's not that difficult of a repair. I would replace from just under the seat foward rather than fill the hole, but even filling that isn't bad. For the trans tunnel wrap the styrene around something round, slightly smaller. A dunk in almost boiling water for a few seconds followed by cold water. It will keep its shape. As for the details, I've done and seen all kinds of options, and you really don't see that area unless the doors are opened up. Another option is checking if another member here has a tub they're willing to trade.
  5. Fantastic work on the build and the photography. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  6. Finished sorting through all the paints I picked up over the weekend. Not many casualties, almost all the model master, polly scale and tamiya were good after a quick stir. 70 new paints need racks now. Still have to deal with the 52 humbrol, I don't think the opened ones are any good.
  7. Front fascia has to be moved foward to remove the radiator on most later 2000's vw products. And I'll bring up removing the DOORSKIN to change the window motor on mkv jetta's and golfs.
  8. Corsica, lumina, ect. I remember working on those well. 2.8-3.8l engines. Some liked to eat intake gaskets.
  9. I airbrushed the smaller size, no issues, sprayed fine out of the jar. The work on the bumper I did is one or two pages back. No varnish applied after.
  10. I've always wanted to try it, it was out of production long before I got back into the hobby. I've got a few to try out now.
  11. Thanks, this is turning out to be a bit of a gold mine. It's got the model master buffing metalizer with the laquer and 50 odd tins of humbrol.
  12. Marketplace find. FREE. model master, tamiya, humbrol. I've got a ton of sorting to do and I need more storage now.
  13. https://pix11.com/news/local-news/billing-error-impacts-thousands-of-e-zpass-customers-in-ny-and-nj/ Not sure if you've seen this.
  14. Is that Createx? I'm leaning towards similar with my 66 fleetside. That's going to look awesome
  15. Got the headers finished. Started the templates for the floor and rollbar/ interior.
  16. At least it's not 4:30 on a Friday.
  17. Undisclosed civilian location
  18. That rear tire being off the bead is a nice touch. Looking great so far
  19. That's the northeast for you, I'm up in Albany. Bipolar weather this time of year. Two days ago we had 3 seasons in the same day.
  20. Anyone know if there's some way the wealthy use purchases like these as a write off. Use them as advertising or something and claim a partial business expense or some charity auction thing. Might explain the low mileage and lack of services. Or its just ego driven impulse buying.
  21. Princess Auto is the Canadian Harbor Freight, correct? Looks like they carry better brands there.
  22. Outstanding. The weathering looks awesome. Real cool buildπŸ‘πŸ‘
  23. Probably solvent pop. Basically the next coat traps the solvent of the previous and it tries to work its way out causing this. Like Stuart said, strip it and start over is a good idea. Too heavy with paint, too soon with the next coat can cause this. The type and brand of paint can be very helpful for others to identify the issue and give advice. If you sand, you might lose some detail, like the emblem or the wheel arch trim.
