    Just picked up this 2010 Civic today - not very interesting but the price was right (REALLY right, actually) and it’ll be a good reliable car for my wife. Which, in turn, means I’m now free to pick something unreliable and impractical for myself ?

    Just (mostly) got finished setting up my workshop in our new place - it’s SO nice to have a real room to work in rather than just a little desk I had before with everything else hidden around the apartment because it was so small! Still some messing around to do still to get it functioning properly, but it’s SO nice to have everything set up so I can start building some stuff! ? IMG_7228.MOV

    Oh geez - it’s a lot bigger ?. Wasn’t sure if it was maybe one of those “it’s 1/16 but it isn’t really” type of old kits ?. Thanks for the info buddy!

    How big is the stagecoach, roughly Dave? Is it kinda compatible to the Boot Hill Express or a Raider’s Coach or it is it a lot bigger? Got a showrod idea for one here, maybe ?

    My wife’s aunt gave me this - still sealed in the packet from nearly 50 years ago! Don’t know much about it - resisted opening it though ? Hit Hobby Lobby on the way home and picked up another Revell 29 and one of these - I’d been wanting to do a pickup for a while:

    That particular kit doesn’t really have a frame, just so you know - just fenders and kinda half a frame that is moulded in... The Revell 29 kit comes with a 32 frame, or one of their actual 32 kits does too, of course. I’d also skip the AMT 32 kits as a starting point - there’s a couple of variations of the frame in those but you’ll have an easier time with the Revell kits as a base

    For something simple that you’re trying to cast one of, that’s actually a REALLY good idea (if it works). Better go get me some PlayDoh and experiment ?

    I really like it here, from what I’ve seen so far! We’re off Vale Park Road so pretty close to the Hobby Lobby and Michael’s...I’d be interested to hear of any other good local spots to check out!

    I went to check out another HL near us today...parking lot was suspiciously empty... Had no idea that they close on Sundays ?

    Checked out our local one in Merrillville Indiana today - no car stuff but they did have some plastic, which seems promising: Had a bunch of filler primer for a couple of bucks a can, so I consoled myself with some of that instead ?.

    I just looked it up and it has been closed a few years - but there’s an R/C type shop that isn’t too far away that I’d like to check out next!

    Got to visit the local Hobby Lobby today, now that I’m local to a Hobby Lobby - good selection of kits! Picked up another Revell ‘29 to play with...really enjoyed building the last couple of these that I’ve done! $18 or so with their voucher ??

    Moved into our new place today. Enjoying having a pool right outside, and a dedicated workshop for the first time...and seeing nature from the bench! Saw hummingbirds flying outside the window as I was assembling the workbench today!

    I think DeAgostini is an Italian company...and we have them here. Their US office is maybe 5 miles from me...
