Some people can actually read whats under the ad... Just in case you missed it.

Ok.... This really pisses me off.. I've reported ads in the past, and it does nothing. I'm ready to pay a few dollars a month to get this friggin disgusting trash of my screen... This is complete Bovine Excrement.. and I'm over it. How would I ever begin to explain something like this to my wife or grandchildren? I should NOT EVER HAVE TO. I'm on a model car forum.. With all the kindness and sincerity I can inflect in a text on a forum page... * Please. Do. Some. Thing.*

Very inspiring work Peter. Your scratchbuilding skillset is definitely something I hope to achieve when I grow up. A fire extinguisher from a paint pipette? That's fantastic ingenuity right there! 😆 And tell your 'Gwen' hating friend to get over himself. I dated a girl once that rewired a Nissan pickup herself because the friend that loaned it to her couldn't figure out why it wouldn't run. She was smokin hot too! We've been married for 19 years. 😎

1969 Sunoco Camaro

Watching this closely... Anything from the Trans-Am era, is just beyond cool. If I still had my 68 Mustang coupe, it would have the looks and performance of a Trans-Am car, but all modern components and totally streetable. -
87 Ford Aerostar
SpeedAndViolence replied to Grzegorz's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Back in the late 90's, several friends and I from the local model car club would cruise to the various contests in his Aerostar. On one of our trips, we had a couple of close calls because the brakes were not equipped to a stop the equivalent of a cattle hauler (6 grown men plus everyones contest submissions and the literal hobby shop of purchases we brought back) 😂 Anyway... after that trip we immediately began referring to it as the 'Deathstar' 😂🤔 Thanks for the memories.. -
I'm highly interested.

What is the correct size magnets
SpeedAndViolence replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have no affiliation with this business whatsoever, but I recently bought some of these. I don't have precise measurements, but I will say that unless you're building 1/43rd scale kits, they are small enough that they should not be a problem: https://mcvproducts.net/shop-now/ols/categories/neodymium-magnets?sortOption=descend_by_created_at -
Looks intriguing... I'll be watching as well.

I have a project that I started many years ago, and the photo etch that was attached using super glue ( can't remember which brand) has since become very brittle and the photo etch pieces are coming apart with very little pressure applied. Speaking of Bob Smith industries, has anyone tried their rubberized CA line of adhesive's? I'm interested in seeing if the rubberized blends would prevent those issues moving forward.

Best decal printing services in 2025?
SpeedAndViolence replied to LOBBS's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I was not able to send them any artwork. So I just sent them a link to a photo gallery of the car I'm basing my project on. 99% of the decals on the car are sponsor decals, so I assumed (maybe incorrectly?) that would be easy. Find the company logo, trace it, make it solid black, boom, done. In fact, the only deviation from what I wanted other than what was already on the real car, was changing the '429' to a '520', to rep a 3D printed 'John Kaase' block. -
Best decal printing services in 2025?
SpeedAndViolence replied to LOBBS's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
For those that are interested, I called them today and was told that the artwork for my decals is complete, and that all that is left is to size them for printing (my words not theirs) and I should expect to hear back from them within the next couple of days. ( I'm assuming proofs of the art prior to being sent to print?) -
Ray's Kits Decals
SpeedAndViolence replied to Joe Lange's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Not to derail the thread here, but your "Greenwood Corvette" comment piqued my interest. 🤔 Care to elaborate? -
This is fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing this Bill! I was wanting to go a bit further than just adding fender flares. I'm wanting to build something heavily influenced by the SCCA Trans-Am series, with a bit of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb sprinkled in, but restrained, and equipped with modern components. And this is exactly what I was looking for to do that.

Nice work! Ever figure out what caused the paint issue on the original?

I've purchased from Hooligan in the past.. 5 Stars for: Communication Customer satisfaction Shipping As far as quality, being one of my first purchases of 3D printed products, I'm not sure if his quality is lacking, or maybe I was expecting slide-mold injected Tamiya plastic. Your mileage may vary. What I was not happy about was the diameter of the wheels. They looked fantastic in the photos, but in reality *much* to big for my taste. To my dismay, Ive realized to my financial detriment, that the ideal wheel/ tire sizes I'm looking for are are scaled 18 or 19” fronts and 20 or 21" rears. What I believe I bought were the equivalent to 21" in fronts and 23" or 24" rears...

Very very cool... Thank you very kindly for sharing that Gary! Off to look for some Evergreen sheet now. 😁

Sky vermin... Rats with wings. The amount of fecal matter a group of 5 or 10 can leave behind is unbelievable, and they are rapidly overpopulating. They're disgusting. Would not surprise me one bit if some sort of pandemic 'bird flu' strain originates from Canadian Geese.

Nice work so far! Very impressed with your scratch building skills. How did you execute the large metal overhead door?
