  1. Thanks Don! I was in the office again after the debacle with the Hudson, and dug out the OBS I have, and reorganized a few kits. They will be a little further down the road builds. But I will enjoy them for sure!
  2. So I did some work on the Skyline chassis, and had the steering linkage working and I was messing with something and broke it, and then the other half took flying lessons, so it's another part I raid out of my other Skyline like it. (May have to change what I do with it) Put another coat of primer on the Catalina. Put another coat of primer on the Hudson, and it failed bad so into the pond it went. I knew then it was time to walk away.
  3. Catalina's were full size and the Tempest were compact cars. I pulled this from Wiki. I haven't broke the box open yet to do a side by side comparison. (I have a sweet spot for the Catalina family as my first car was a 1973 Pontiac Catalina, 4dr with the 400/400 set up.)
  4. I get it, and wife had neck surgery, and her pain is now 1-2 or gone 90% of the time, before she was 7-9 all the time. Gotta take take care of our flesh bags for sure!
  5. Got this from Wes ... was the last bit of model spending money. Gonna do the 3 Chevy's box stock, the Catalina I have a plan for, and same with the Ventura. I got these Wednesday.
  6. Fantastic work sir!! And as an Olds lover, I would be proud to drive that!! Elegance in process!!
  7. Damn John! And here I thought getting woke up early was the worst for me today. Thanks for throwing some perspective on the day! Plus man, you got this my friend!
  8. Oh so many great kits coming! I want 2-3 of the Beemer for sure!
  9. That's just so slick!
  10. I got a second coat of primer on the Catalina and Hudson after cleaning up mold lines, tomorrow will be touch up if needed, then the Hudson gets first coat of body paint. The Skyline I am working on, I will be able to start some detail painting on the chassis parts and some assembly to at least get it to roller. The interior is in an alcohol bath due to some paint being horrid. I will get both frames of the Hudson and Pontiac final painted, then will figure out the chassis parts color for them, and then prime and paint. I also figured out where my OBS kit is... and I have to unbury it from behind the air craft.
  11. Yeah, I got the resin motor in and decals, haven't decided on what ones I will use, and today, I sanded body lines, will drop more primer on it. Likely will paint the frame tonight as well.
  12. Silver metal flake! And this is looking killer bit by bit
  13. And I have seen my share of rear suspension work held together just like that
  14. She doesn't look too bad, that really sucks the wind got it! Send her to the shop, get a quote and fix her up with a bit of duct tape and bailing wire! Really hate seeing this
  15. Gonna be a neat pair of mini trucks!
  16. Bring back the Vanning 70-80s! I will have to get a couple of those.
  17. Body is in primer, the bottom of the tub is 1/2 done in prime. Tomorrow I will work on the body lines that need to be dealt with.
  18. That's slick!!
  19. That is beautiful!! Love the blue!!
  20. Thank you Steve! I may have an extra grill on the way from a buddy. So I can do some mockup in the near future.
  21. Thanks! This was a fun kit and I have some ideas I want to try with the next one. (As you can see I had a frame tweak issue... but will be in a better place to deal with it before paint.) I have 2 more in the stash because initially I was gonna frame and chassis raid them, but now will build them.
  22. I didn't know that it was missing a bit on the grill. I should of done my due diligence on that. But I am happy to see it coming back. I really enjoyed this kit. Will have to get a couple more for my stash.
  23. Awesome, amazing, beautiful, sleek... Love it!
  24. Love the Olds, I saw your chop steps... incredible! I am doing a Hudson as well, and your so far in the weeds with this, I love it! And that Plymouth ... sleek and low!
