  4. Came back to look at this again and sure would like to find one of those kits. Glad you shared the photos with us! Joe
  5. That’s really cool! Hang a Christmas wreath on the front and tie a Christmas tree on top with the sled and you will have a nice holiday decoration to set out for folks to see.
  6. Great job and I like the blackened chrome, especially on the front. The colors really work on that style of truck. The pumpkin is cool sitting along side the model. ? Joe
  7. The model looks so good in that color. Nice work! Joe
  8. I really like this model, Mark. ?? Everything works so well together…comes off like eye-candy! Joe

  13. Ouch is right! I am going to our local HL Thursday (that’s when the new stock comes in) so it will be interesting to see the new kit pricing. Joe
  14. Great model work! It’s going to look soooo nice. ? Joe
  15. In this day and age of high price point kits manufactured overseas we need to vote with our wallets when it comes to kits issued with poor quality control issues. Fixing a warped roof with warped/bent pillars is not fun no matter how much I would like to have the subject kit. I hope the issue is addressed and fixed properly…then I will take another look at purchasing it. Joe
  16. The photos and heads-up regarding this kit certainly give me pause. At the price of the kits today a modeler should not have to chase down a good copy to build. Opening up sealed kit boxes and hoping to find a plastic body that is not warped isn’t my idea of modeling fun; probably won’t be reaching for the wallet on this kit. Joe
  17. What I find interesting is the number of model builders who play instruments of one sort or another. Joe
  18. What a great model project! My first over-the-road truck was the International Transtar and I enjoyed driving it, something I would not say about a couple of rigs I have driven. Earned my Auto Transport Certificate in 1987 and was involved with the then new Cadillac Alante. Can still recall the pucker factor while putting my first auto onto the top track of an auto transport…a black Blazer lined up and driven backwards to the top front position. The only thing across the end of the track was a welded piece of 1/2” rebar! And you had to lift your fanny off the seat, support yourself via your left hand on the armrest and look out the window backwards while making sure you didn’t move the steering wheel too much or crack your head against the transporter steel. Man, that seems like eons ago! You should be very happy with the outcome of the work put into this model transport and the various vehicles on it. ?? Joe
  19. Build the original with a clear conscience. Right now it's just a cardboard box with plastic pieces inside. When you give him the finished project he will then have the model and the original box to display. A win-win for both of you. Joe
