  1. Very nice model! Well done! ? Joe
  2. Sad to see this happen to you. While not a vehicle, back during the 1980 "big slump" (as I refer to it), I found myself between a rock and a hard place. Had to sell my Les Paul Anniversary, Black with Silverburst, guitar that was so nice to play. I wasn't happy about it, however, with a family "a man does what a man has to do". Hope your financial situation improves soon as that's what really matters now. Joe
  3. Deleted: wrong place
  4. 14! There’s hope for me yet! ? Joe
  5. So, I came downstairs to do some model work today and when I turned on my shop lights this scene greeted me…once again. Seven ongoing model projects on the tables; five you can readily see and two more being sneaky! ?? Plus, I hadn’t cleaned and put the tools away from the last session. Does it bother me? Not in the least! ?? This scenario seems to occur frequently at my house and I was wondering if it only happens here (?), or, perhaps, at other modeler’s homes too. Let’s see what greets you most of the time when you venture to your model building work area. Joe
  6. Nice looking model! ? Joe
  7. Nice start and great color choice! ? Joe
  8. Really coming along nicely. ? Joe
  9. While at the library last Saturday, Joyce and I picked up a few movies to watch at home and last evening decided to watch Peter Pan. Didn't realize it was the 1924 version...black and white screen and no voice. Had to read the screen script. Betty Bronson played Peter Pan and did a great job of it. I hadn't seen this version since I was a wee boy and really enjoyed watching the play. Then I realized the play was produced nearly 100 years ago! ? Wow! Joe
  10. It is fun to see how this model is coming together. Cool! ? Joe
  11. Nice looking color. ? Joe
  12. And the most important tool: patience. ? Joe
  13. Stay with us, Carl, as long as you are able. If there are those that cannot understand your Faith, or the difficulties you are facing in your daily life, even with the explanation you are sharing, then just tune them out and enjoy the friendship of those who like your participation on this forum. Count me in as one that enjoys your posts and would like to see you remain with "the gang ". ? Joe
  14. Nice looking model, and I REALLY like the license plate. ? Joe
  15. Now THAT is amazing to me! No wonder your model work is so nice. However, I would like to get one of those giant pennies for my own use…can you share the source? ? Joe
  16. If you think driving a car without snowing experience is an eye opener, I can tell you first hand that driving through that first snowstorm behind the steering wheel of a big rig can make you pucker on your seat in a new way. Had to stop at a Walmart and buy a package of new underwear! Not really…however, it sure was interesting! ??? Joe
  17. Go for it! If you can purchase this kit at HL during their 40% off week sale it becomes even better. Be prepared for some extra cleanup and sanding time at the bench before you paint if you are so inclined as I am. This is a pretty neat kit and I am even enjoying the preliminary cleanup chore...imagine that! ??? Joe
  18. A huge THANK YOU ? for sharing this with us, my friend! It is sure to be a great help to me. ? Joe
  19. From a guitar player, THIS is funny and brought on a big chuckle for the day! ?? Joe
  20. The Sun is shining and we have lots of blue sky to enjoy. Tomorrow and Wednesday it's going to be in the middle '50's. HOORAY!! (We will absolutely NOT discuss the anticipation 32 degree temperature and snow for Thursday...). ???? Joe
  21. Nice looking model. My late Grandfather Keller bought a new '57 Chevy 210 wearing Turquoise and White. I can still recall, as a youngster, riding all over the area with him (especially to go fishing) and watching him using the 3 speed column shifter. He drove that car until trading it in for a new '64 Chevy Biscayne, and often said he liked the 210 much better. Thanks for the memories! ? Joe
  22. Spending time at the bench doing some additional cleanup work on the parts. This is a cool model folks with a lot more detail than I initially thought would be on a kit issued many, many, moons ago. I think it deserves some extra TLC, and that should reward me with a good looking, and darn cute if nothing else, model gas tanker. ? Joe
  23. A great concept for a model coming together here! ? Joe
