Nice work! I think that color combo works well.

Yawn on Revell's 2019's releases, which is a good thing for me, because I have too much to build as it is.
-
Looks like Hannants mistakenly posted Revell releases earlier than Jan. 1 and then removed them from the website. See discussion here: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235046796-revell-2019-releases/& I'm hoping that Revell withheld their exciting 1/24 announcement, because nothing posted by Hannants is exciting. I know some will be pleased by a 1/24 Land Rover Series III to be introduced in Sept. 2019. Seems like a latecomer, since there was a discussion here before:

Nice work! In some respects, I think Fujimi captured the shape better than Tamiya!

Those paints look great! -
Yep! We've been talking about it here:
-
Maybe the new 911, which will be introduced very soon, given their Porsche license.
-
Kinda makes sense now that Tamiya USA made the announcement first
-
Couldn't agree more.
-
It does, just like the 1/24 versions of Italeri kit.
-
I have it, but haven't built it. It's more detailed than the 1/16 Italeri version, but the Italeri version more accurately captures the 300sl's look. The greenhouse on this kit is too squashed IMO.

I've read that the Supra will debut at the Detroit Auto Show, not LA Auto Show, so I don't think Tamiya will front run Toyota with a Supra announcement at this time. Surely, it'll be produced in the future. It could be the TS-050 car, since Tamiya does that in RC form, but not a guarantee since not all RC cars become static kits. Guess we'll just have to wait to see in 3 more days!

You're probably right, Bob, about the Supra given the circumstantial evidence, which is probably a good thing for me - i.e., one less kit to stash in the closet to be maybe built in 30 years. I'd love the Ferrari Monza SP2. I'd probably buy an Aperta, though I don't think they'll do that. It would be a fairly easy transkit, which I suggested to Plamoz, who has been very quiet since March about new products

On Facebook, Tamiya USA said that Tamiya will introduce an all-new 1/24 kit at Tamiya Fair in Shizuoka from Nov. 17-18. Wonder what it could be??

TAMIYA AMG GT3 LED Headlights

Or just use Fujimi Mercedes wheels, or the wheels from Tamiya's 500sl. They might be a bit wide, but you could narrow them. I have a spare set if you need. -
I went through 3 bodies and 3 bumpers (all ordered from Revell-Germany/Revell USA) to get the right fit, and from my own observations, I think the problem was the body being slightly warped at the tail end. I also noticed that the affected bodies had a slightly different yellow molding color than the unaffected bodies.

Can't wait to see more! How does your rear bumper fit?

If there is no one in the states, you might want to contact on Facebook Misha Samarsky, proprietor of USCP-Ukrainian Scale Car Production, for a custom 3d printed project. He's the front office guy, and his friend Dmitry does the designing, I believe. I requested and was behind the financing the production (about $60) of these wheels, and worked with them to get them just right. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-wheels-18-inch-AMG-I-Monoblock-with-tires-for-Tamiya-Aoshima-Hasegawa/253786578724?hash=item3b16dbdf24:g:zIAAAOSw1fha4LSD -
Excellent, thanks!

Make a production suggestion to Plamoz for a non-endurance conversion? Though I note Plamoz has been pretty quiet recently. I hope the company continues to release new products. The proprietor did say that he wants to group development of new items to achieve some costs savings. I did suggest the Aperta version to him (and I think Hobby Design). As for different versions of kits...Tamiya doesn't do that anymore like they used to. I would think a 300SL roadster would sell well, as people would buy them to accompany their gullwings.
