  1. Freee drinks?? Delivered by scantily clad women? That's disgusting! I'm going to try and convince my wife to go in July instead of having to wait for September. If it's for free - it's for me.
  2. My wife emailed me from work informing me that we're going to Las Vegas (I've never been there before). Anybody know how the area is for a local hobby shop? Gotta do something besides gamble and the Chicken Ranch is closed.
  3. I believe it's Rick (Scale Dreams) that is already doing this stuff through TDR. Somebody (gramps?) has built a scale SBC on this forum.
  4. Happy to help out when I can.

  6. Don't you have cell phones on the left coast? Call the cops on those bandits!!!
  7. Was that purchase over the internet or LHS? Nice haul. Why did you decide to get that particular Dremel instead of the Stylus? Either way, I bought keyless chucks for my Dremels and love them (part #1498 I think).
  8. Peter, Take your time. I'm sure all of us who signed up appreciate what you're doing - at least I do. Why not just wait until you get the tops done and then make only one mailing?
  9. Followed your build, Steve. The completed gasser looks really good. Nice details.
  10. The decals were very easy to work with and laid down nice with all the Solve-a-set I used. I haven't used decals in a long time so I can't really say they were too thick or too thin. There were a couple of areas (scoop, f & r license plate) that needed more attention and trimming. I did discover that I should have installed the glass before the decals. I use blue tape to hold the glass from the outside when I glue the inside. The tape tends to pull the decal up even after it's dried.
  11. Thanks guys. Appreciate your kind words. My current projects are a '54 Chevy sedan delivery with a full length moon roof and a '23 track roadster. I'm trying to replicate the real puffy leather interiors of years past by wrapping the leather over a piece of 14 gauge copper wire. It's not going very well.
  12. Looking good, Shane. Keep it going.
  13. Here's pics of my latest build.

What a great looking hot rod!
  15. Thanks for the info, Mark, but you have the wrong email. The correct email is horners@ttd.net. I've ordered wheels from Time Machine Resin. When they come in and hopefully they look good, off they go to Little Model Kar Co. for chrome plating. Thanks again for your help.
  16. I love ya, Dave. Now will you post the detailed leather interior tutorial? Please I don't care about the chrome system.
  17. Congratulations and good luck to your son. Are you the Walt Francis the 1:1 wiring guy?
  18. Talk about big & little wheel/tire sets. Great looking build.
  19. A hot rod Mercedes - a most excellent build.
  20. Evergreen is easier to cut - saw, snips, nail clippers.
  21. Okay Greg. I'll play the game. Why didn't you think of that? Why would anyone use the brass and Evergreen? Either one would work but the Evergreen might be less expensive.
  22. No need for metal when you can go plastic. Evergreen makes a styrene rod almost the same size as the old metal axles and they come about 12" long so you can easily cut them to the length you need. Bing. Bang. Done.
  23. I believe Scarlett is your girlfriend, Mark. I saw the pic.
  24. Been outta school for a long time myself. I like it when school is out down here so I don't to put up with all those darn yellow buses in the mornings and afternoons. School is out for the summer but they still take the taxes. You want kids in school? You pay for it instead of me.
  25. I'm planning to purchase some resin wheels but will need them chrome plated. Since Treehugger Dave isn't posting about his water based system, I guess I'll need to find another plater. I've been to the website of Chrome Tech, but heard there was at least another chrome plater around. Does anyone have websites for the other guy(s). Appreciate any help and/or suggestions.
