  1. Perfect stance! I love it. Terrific paint.
  2. Isn't this an off topic subject and doesn't belong here? Seriously, holiday greetings to our MCM family.
  3. It's only money! I'd be interested in a CD/DVD of past issues and I bid $25.00.
  4. Looks good to me. More importantly, sounds like the bonding experience was worth it.
  5. I did jury duty in Chicago for a week. Took the train into the city from burbs. It was fun. Then moved out to DuPage County, IL and was picked for jury duty there. That only lasted 2 days. Moved to FLA and served only a couple of hours when they said I'm not needed. I've heard that you get some pretty interesting cases and more money for a grand jury case. You need to do your civic duty, Harry. Take a laptop computer and work the forum on your lunch hour. Maybe you'll get sequestered and have all night to work the forum.
  6. Looking good!
  7. I'm with 100% George. Put your name on the post. What's the big deal? There are options - 1 Play by the rules. 2 Don't play here. 3 Change the rules.
  8. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The interior looks real good too. Too young? The Lee light were cool. Instead of the little bullet lens, the whole taillight thing was covered. Guys used to crumple tinfoil and put it in the housing before the lens went on. Gave the light a nice effect through the plastic. Here's what the lens looked like. http://www.customrodder.com/features/0701c...e/photo_07.html
  9. Looks real nice. Gonna show some interior pics? Wish somebody made scale Lee Plastics taillights - the ones that coved the whole chrome taillight housing. You had to put the gas filler in the truck because you couldn't twist the housing piece to get to the original. Anybody remember that?
  10. Looking pretty good so far. Is that a reflection or a bad spot on the hood?
  11. I used their tape. Are they going to have a going out of business sale?
  12. That's reaally a neat idea.
  13. How about posting their website?
  14. Very old school - looks good.
  15. Yeah - I guess '64 or '65 Mustang housing and lenses with LED bulbs behind. Very bright.
  16. dwc43 - I sent a pm to you about the buggy. I'm not sure if it went through and don't know how to check if it did. If you didn't get it, let me know and I'll do it again.
  17. Rick, you going to do anything in 1/24 or 1/25 scale?
  18. That's very cool. Don't forget to roll uo the windows before washing the coupe.
  19. Pets. I've always been a dog person until I met Marcia (now my wife). She had 2 cats - Midas & Sabrina. Midas got sick and had to be put to sleep before we came to FLA. Sabrinaa made the trip and loved it down here. She was never allowed out of the house up north, but down here we let her out into the screened lanai. She loved it! She chased lizards, took sips of water from the pool, and just lounged in the sun. She had it good. Her liver went and we had to put her to sleep July 2008. Like I said, I'm a dog person, but I cried like a baby when the vet gave Sabrina the final injection. People who have never had critters can't understand how a person can get so close to a pet. My heart reaches out to you Bill.
  20. Paint on the body? No way! I still use rattle cans but am trying to wean myself off and move over to an airbrush. Check out Donn Yost's DVD "The Art of Airbrushing Show Quality Models Cars". www.oldmansmodels.com There's also somebody on this forum that has them for $23.00. Terrific video! Several people have posts about painting - do a search in the Tips & Techniques section.
  21. Mark, I primer the body no matter what type of paint is used for the final color. I wet sand the parts, prime, and wet sand again with a finer grade of paper.
  22. Welcome to the forum Tom. I'm not the greatest painter around but I'll try to help. I try real hard to NOT use Testors spray enamels. I've been using Testors one coat laqcuers with success. I prime my parts with sandable primer by Plasti coat first. To get your prior paint off use Purple Power that's available at Wal-Mart or Advanced Auto Parts. You'll often hear about "the purple pond" which refers to using Purple Power. There's plenty of help here from much better informed people than me.
  23. Thanks Donn. I don't think paint storage was covered in your excellent video. I'll have to watch it again.
  24. I have to start airbrushing too! I was wondering about storing the paint. If I were to thin nail polish with laqcuer thinner and didn't use all of the mix painting a model, how should the excess paint be stored?
