  1. That dusk pearl is such a handsome color on that car.
  2. Yesterday I got an Automodello Triple White 71 Lincoln Continental Mark III. This is one beautiful model. If I were building one as a model, I would have done it in the colors of my Dad's car, which was Black with a White top and interior. I would have handled the chrome trim differently, but overall I am very satisfied with the model.
  3. And it is drop dead gorgeous. I do not regret the purchase. It is the most expensive model I own. Now I have to sell something off to justify it in my mind. Oh well.
  4. Oh well. I bought a white one with the sunroof. I haven't gotten it yet, but this may be the only chance I have to get one while I can afford it.
  5. I met Juha a couple of years ago myself and had a lengthy conversation with him. A very pleasant individual. I have a few of his masterworks too to build one of these days.
  6. Looking good. This one takes me back to November 1977 when I accompanied my sister to do some car shopping. She brought home a Dark Brown 78 Thunderbird Town Landau. It was a beautiful car.
  7. Very nice.
  8. I appreciate our relationship. I haven't been working on anything lately.
  9. I appreciate the gesture. I am " stealing" 289s from the AMT 67 Mustangs for the 66, 67, and 69 Falcons I am restoring. The 66 was a promo, while the 67 and 69 were cars I pieced together from several purchases and gifts of parts. Thank you for the offer, but I am fine.
  10. I happen to like the late 60's Ford Falcons myself. Looks like you have a decent 68 body. The pillars can be made from styrene strip. I was fortunate that I was able to piece mine together for future projects. Mine only lack engines, which were incorrect in the kits anyway. Good luck.
  11. These cars are beautiful. My dad had a 71 Mark lll when they were new cars. I wanted the Black one without the sunroof to do something close to his car, but unfortunately, I cannot justify the price.
  12. I sold Chevy Trucks new in 1978, and it wasn't unusual to see a base truck with white steelies/ doggies/ and white walls. Sometimes the factory ran out of blackwalls, so they substituted white walls for the base tires on stock units to keep the assembly line moving. Such a truck was not so unusual. Those tires will come in handy for another build. I'm going with white lettered tires on my build.
  13. Excellent collection. At one time or another, I had all of those kits. I still have some of them in the collection.
  14. You know I love it. Great work!!!
  15. Handsome!
  16. It is a 1/24 kit.
  17. Nice work on the Bird.
  18. I really like that kit, as I have two. I built one as a mild custom, and the other is in the box unbuilt. The one I built, I may take down and rebuild it with new wheels and tires. I love the paint job, so I will keep it. The next one will be a replica stock coupe.
  19. Nice score. I love those suicide door Lincolns.
  20. I talked to Norm today at the club meeting, and he believes that he still can cast a copy of that hood for you. Gove him a call at 1(410) 768-3648 Monday through Friday during normal business hours between 9 and 5. . I'm not sure of his email address for the business. Maybe someone on the board knows, but because he is old school, a phone call can get you your hood faster. Ron
  21. I plan to see Norm tomorrow. I'll see if the hood is still available from him.
  22. So do I. A friend of my dad had a Mood Indigo 71, that I would detail for him. It was a very nice car with a unique color. It had a black vinyl roof, and a white interior. I believe that I am going to do mine in triple Black. It will look quite sinister with the Black center deep dish 300 wheel covers on pin whites, or a set of 20" 5 spokes in chrome. I have to get my 78 Cordoba done first, as I have the vinyl roof mouldings don't. I have to prime and paint it.
