Beautiful Work, Steve. I just picked up the Mustang and the 33 Willys last Saturday.

Shawn Carpenter did a really nice '69 SS396 Post Body at one time. I have one somewhere in my collection.

I checked every thing for fit, replaced some of the moulded on emblems with photoetch from the Model Car Garage '65 Chevrolet Set, and rescribed the pleats on the seats and door panels. It is one of my favorite models, but I would not do it like this again, as the paint job was not easy.

Modelhaus. I "massaged" mine a little, but that's just me. Out of the box, it was pretty good.

I'll be frank, I'm a Chevy Guy at heart, but I have a lot of respect for Ford for what they did with the Mustang. I have a lot of unbuilt kits, and a few builts I have not photographed. I even have a few projects on the bench. Original AMT '64 Mustang Glue-bomb to be restored into a Black on White '64 Hardtop. AMT '67 Mustang GT Fastback This is what I am aiming for with this build. Revell '68 "Bullitt" Mustang Fastback. AMT '73 Mustang FB to be backdated into this... I have many others in the queue, unbuilt, and ready for my retirement. I may get these done this year.

Curt, Your build made me glad that I did not scrap the 1/16 scale MPC Cobra I built over 30 years ago. I may have to do a re-build one of these days. Ron

I buy glue bombs exclusively for the purpose of a re-build. The model has to be a kit you cannot buy for less than an arm or a leg as an un-built kit, and not cut, chopped, or shaved, as I am primarily a Replica Stock/Mild Custom builder.I take great enjoyment in resurrecting something that has bee disguarded, and raggedy into a decent looking build. These are ex-glue-bombs: An so many more of them are awaiting their turn. At the present time, I am restoring an original AMT 1971 Chevelle SS454. Sorry that I did not take any photos, but it was terrible, as there was glue buen on the roof, and a poorly applied brush paint job in red and black. I plan to combine it with an AMT 1969 442 for a better detailed chassis and underhood area, a nice 350/4-speed engine, and wheels from the parts box, and build it as the "Heavy Chevy" concept as I would have done it back in 1971, using a set of Fred Cady decals I have.
