  1. Monogram. Now, if they would just re-release this kit!
  2. Oh wow. Here is the pic that I have from the Revell announcement video they posted a week or two ago: I kinda hope we get the one you posted Earl, just because it looks like that one would have the RS grille. It would really be nice to have that. But I do like the wheels better on the black one I think. And I really, really, really hope we get all the stock parts and BLACK z/28 stripes!!!!!!! As far as the cost for the kit, I was thinking $69 was the suggested retail back when the stock version of this kit was released in 2004/2005ish?? Seems about right to me for a 1/12 scale kit. I would think we would see these pop up on eBay eventually in the $40s/$50s.
  3. Thanks again everyone! Thanks! Many coats, alot of sanding, and alot of rubbing out.
  4. Thanks again everyone for the kind words! Thanks Johann! Man, I hope you are right...it makes sense. I was disappointed when I uploaded the pics to my laptop. I thought it was just an issue with my viewfinder. This camera is close to 10 years old I think. For reference, here is what it is doing:
  5. Thanks Cobraman. Just thought I would get all three of the tri-fives together. The other two were gifts to my parents:
  6. Thanks Harry. Yeah, I`m not sure what is up with that. The color is Tamiya "Bright Orange." Looks kinda more like coral to me in person, and my Camera is having trouble capturing any color correctly today. It`s a shame too, because I am expecting to finish up a very *big* (not in scale) project in the next week or so that I`ve been working on for a looong time. Nice that my camera died just in time. Looks like I am off to Best Buy....
  7. This was another "quick" build, at least for me.I finished this one a while back, and never got around to taking pictures. Sorry I only have two lousy pics. My camera decided it wants to take pictures in shades of blue and purple only. Until I figure that out, this is all I have to post. The inspiration was a real `55 just like this that I saw in Ocean City cruise weekend last year. Nothing special with this build...pretty much straight out of the box with the wheels from the `56 kit, and added wires and hoses.
  8. The 1/12 Foose Camaro I suppose. Can`t say I have seen this one in 1:1. And are those Cobra Halibrand wheels I see there? I already have some ideas for the big Mustang kit. I can`t wait to see this one, even though it looks like we wont get an RS grille. Please, please, a set of black stripes for a stock build?
  9. Nice work! I like the factory correct overspray on the chassis.
  10. Whaaaaaaaattt???? So we have another go at the big Camaro kit yet again!? When I first saw this, this is the Foose Camaro I thought of: When I pulled up a Google image search for Foose Camaro, it looks like he built alot of these with similar parts, but different colors. They all seem to have the same 5 spoke rims, RS grille with chrome inserts, and the LT-1 SS inspired hood scoop. I really, really hope we get an RS grille for the big kit!!! What is up with the Camaro getting re-released twice before the big Corvette??
  11. That looks great! Where did you get the wheels?
  12. Some of my other interests: I`m also into computers/networking/system administration (full time job), and apologetics/theology when I have time. Yeah, I am stretched pretty thin.
  13. Very nice trio!
  14. Very nice work on all of them! I really like that `cuda with the unique color choice!
  15. I need sunglasses for that 4th pic. Nice work! Can`t wait to see this one finished!
  16. Cool stuff. What wheels are on the green Corvette?
  17. Thanks everyone! Thanks Brodie. It sounds like you got a good buy. I wish they would re-release some of these old big 1/8 kits.
  18. Great work! It looks like a 1:1!
  19. Fantastic work!!!
  20. Interesting responses. I can say, for every one of my now over a couple hundred kits, I`ve had specific plans for every one of them. I can look at my stacks of boxes, and remember exactly what I wanted to do with each one of them. I just don`t have time to finish them. I just checked my kitchen cupboards (yes, my wife puts up with alot!!) and I have 15 painted bodies.
  21. I think I just heard the sound of hobby knives of abdicating builders dropping to the table.
