  1. Beats me. Revell, Monogram, ICM, Tamiya. I have scored 3 Classic Airframes P-51H kits but haven't gotten the gumption to try them yet. What I AM looking forward to is the new Revell 1/32 kit. Street price is supposed to be about what I paid for the Airfix.
  2. I am informed I violated the rules with the above posting. Thus I bring up what I bought the day before yesterday. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/255016397633481422/ It is, however, molded in the most vibrant orange.
  3. I was told that I violated some nebulous policy by posting this in the wrong place. Hopefully the gods are now appeased. https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/north-american-p51-d-mustang-1-48.html Very nice and worth the price.
  4. I got one of these. https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/north-american-p51-d-mustang-1-48.html Between the 4 wheel variety and the propeller version, I'll bet I've got 50(+) kits and over 150 decal options.
  5. I'd expect his hair was puffed on top and falling down his neck like a waterfall, even without the shorts.
  6. Was there an early 60s Dart or Valiant ever made that wasn't beige/white/powder blue? If there was I will guarantee that those three composed 85% of sales. My grandfather had a '61 Valiant-push button automatic-in beige. When he upgraded to a '64 Valiant he got it in...beige.
  7. You do have a number of factory correct colors for the GT500 or just paint it any color you like. http://www.nvsaac.com/Details/1968_ford_mustang_paint_colors.htm
  8. Thank you. Little known fact, the Mangusta was the only car specifically exempted in the California Vehicle Code from the minimum height requirement of headlamps . Every other car has to be a minimum of 24 inches above the ground. The only way the Mangusta could do that would be to "donk" it. de Tomaso could have stopped there and looked back at a fulfilled life.
  9. Just an indicator of the "ugly stick" Palmer used to beat all their kits. The stick was then passed along to Starfix.
  10. Thanks, I thought it was me.
  11. Does anyone have information about the Randy Ayers board? Its been down for about a week. http://www.randyayersmodeling.com/modelingforum/
  12. I'd just LOVE to see this driven in anger on a proper road course. Sears Point, Road America etc. What would you say, about a 70% to 30% weight ratio front to rear? A John Deere tractor wouldn't plow any better than this.
  13. Pack Rat, I like every single one of your choices, and I'm a Ford guy. The fact that we don't have a notchback 67-68 Mustang is beyond my understanding. Ferrari Lusso is the best of the street bodies. And a '71-'72 Polara...well its just not going to happen but a guy can wish.
  14. Depending on your level of desire (meaning how much money you'd spend for it) http://www.fishermodels.com/product/cunningham-c4r-195354-124?tid=2 I'd go for a C5R also As several others have mentioned: pretty much 2 seater with the name "Cobra" attached: most especially a 289 ci with FIA/USRRC body and a 427 competition along with an injected Daytona Coupe BMW Bavaria (the original from 1972 and later) BMW M6 current body style Audi A6 or A8 current body style 1982-85 RX7 Jaguar C-type (dreaming, I know) All the C1 and C2 Corvettes could use a major freshening I'll think of more as soon as I log off.
  15. Personal knowledge? Don't mind me, things like fonts and number sequence are just evidence of my touch of age related OCD.
  16. Those Calif plate decals on the test shot page: Comic Sans Font? Really? Also the plates beginning with "2" would have been issued about 1988-89. Euro plates look cooler anyway.
  17. My question is why don't manufacturer's mold their tires in polystyrene? No issues with chemical misadventures, certain to fit the wheels enclosed in the kit, no issues with incompatibility with paints.
  18. Does the MOG have a military version (I'd think so). Maybe Revell expects some business from the treadhead market.
  19. Pretty certain its a new tool-says that on the release list and the new mold been the subject of discussion on other modeling boards. Now add a 78' Higgins boat..... I know the Porsche 108 is a cute little tractor and; was there some discussion on which version of the Panamera is the subject of the kit? (Ooops, nevermind. Found it.)
  20. http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Hersteller_News/Revell_News_2018_I.html#table6 Not a lot of interest except for the 1/72 PT-109 new tool. It says a 911 Turbo release in "cooperation". That usually a re-pop of some other company's mold. Any idea which one?
  21. That is "sick". I do hope they race it in a version of the classic Aston Racing Green. Yes, I am old school.
  22. Yes, I am a baby boomer and this, my friends, is Jack Leynnwood
  23. Italeri 250 SWB and 275 GTB. Haven't seen either one in years.
  24. I noticed that it appears to be a 4 door, with rear suicide doors a la the RX-8. Trim that front overhang at bit and I'd be on it. This coming from a guy who owns a Mustang with a front overhang. Ahh, with my luck it would be the first $150(+) k Mazda and push it right out of the budget..
  25. Not really sure but the inner headlamps are so big that they're like a zit on a beauty queen, the overall effect might be great but all you notice is the flaw.
