  1. They are reflective, but they certainly aren't sparkly and I don't recall them looking metallic at all but it has been a few years since I've seen one in person. 70's "Harvest Gold" appliance color is sorta how I would describe them from memory. The "500 Festival" and IMS decals are metallic gold, on many pictures you can see the difference between them and the stripes. (I had attached a picture illustrating this, but I removed it as I was unsure if it was an authentic pace car)
  2. That's gotta be a Carl Casper creation.... Nope, it's by a "Willard Wayne". And yes, it's real:
  3. Catalina is next, I believe... I'm out of the loop, my old source retired. I like it better that way, not knowing, I had to keep my mouth shut about the Revell Model A's for at least 3 years... Was not fun!
  4. The original Hurst/Olds kit was marketed as a 2 in 1 with the option to build a 442, but it (and the follow-up Cutlass Supreme kit) only had the eggcrate grille, which is only correct for Hurst/Olds and Cutlass Supreme models. This new one adds the correct 442 grille. It also adds the uptop and flat hood from the Cutlass Supreme kit, the original Hurst/Olds kit did not have an uptop.
  5. Hot Rod much? I can keep going....
  6. Street Rod much?
  7. Lowrider much?
  8. Let's see, the new 48th scale Eagle, substantial retooling work to Moon Base Alpha kit, 1/1000 Reliant, 1/350 original Enterprise, 1/1000 Refit NX-01 Enterprise, Thor, Superman and Wolverine figure kits, several new-tool ships added to Cadet Series Star Trek line, several resin kits out (Alien Kane) or on the way (Wizard of Oz)... And there's more new tooling in the pipeline and I'm sure I forgot a few. Round2 isn't doing new tool cars, they've said that their investment in new tooling can have more impact in sci-fi where there are fewer kits to choose from (in their own lines and also in the market in general) and also they spent a great deal of money to acquire the AMT/MPC/Polar Lights/Lindberg tooling and they're going to run what they can and get as much out of it as they can first.
  9. I got a bunch of them! One of my favorite movies. Thought it made a good avatar because I spend a good part of my day on the phone.
  10. Ok, so I just glanced at the kit last week, and I didn't think much of it because I thought the Supreme kit had a plain "custom" optional grille, but it turns out it didn't, and this new kit has been updated with a 4-4-2 grille and emblems on the decal sheet. They went into full-on Stealth Mode with this addition, they should be making a bigger deal about it, although it does say "build as 442 version" on the box.
  11. I said it. There are both a plain grille and the H/O eggcrate grille. And the uptop. I didn't take pics because it was a kit for stock and I didn't take it out of the inner bags. Am I misremembering that the Supreme kit had a plain grille? Anyway, the new kit has two grilles, one has a "plain" fine mesh. I was thinking it was an optional "custom" part in the Supreme kit (black and purple car on box art) but it might be new. i don't think it is quite right for a 4-4-2 grille but it might be close. See my new post below.
  12. I know, and I'm not even listing it as Moebius, just Model King using the boxart from the planned IHC version. I think I have more pre-orders for this than I did for the Starsky and Hutch Torino.
  13. I've had to field more questions at work about this moldy oldy than any new-tool release of the past year...
  14. I don't think Moebius owns the 59 Rambler. Pretty sure Glencoe has it. Moebius might be facilitating the production for Model King, and that's how their name has gotten attached.
  15. And that was going to be up at the end of this year, anyway. Before the events of earlier this year brought it into the news.
  16. maybe take a foil impression of the interior panels and glue it directly to the body?
  17. They're there in MG's pic: Right hand side. They're not good. Forget when they were added, it was years ago, not for this reissue. I forget if there are also heads to go with them, or just the covers.
  18. It has (or had, at one point) goofy "hemi-esque" valvecovers to try and make it look like a hemi.
  19. The new Pace Car reissue with Linda Vaughan figure also has both the uptop and plain grille from the Cutlass Supreme kit. It only has the one (stock) set of wheels, though. Eggcrate grille is correct for Hurst/Olds
  20. The Junior Stocker has been announced as kit #1219 scheduled for Q1 2016. No further details known at this time.
  21. Moebius has announced the 1972 Sport Custom as kit #1220. No details (what engine, bed length, etc...) known at this time.
  22. They ought to tie-in the 67 Impala with Supernatural TV show (I know, its a 4-door). Wanna know how many calls & emails I get for one of those?
