Stacy David kit wasn't licensed for sale outside of US. I was working for a distributor at the time, we couldn't even ship them to Canada. Of course, if you buy one retail you could ship it anywhere, just not wholesale. I used to have a wholesale customer in Australia who bought US car kits but I can't for the life of me remember his or the business name. And I don't work there anymore, so I can't check my sales records! We ( megahobby.com) ship worldwide, too.

It's not a 4-71 blower like I was originally told it would be (way back when it was still in development), they ended up using the same 6-71 from the 62 Corvette gasser kit. I does look a little "square" but I don't remember anyone raising too much of a fuss about it back when that kit came out. Was really hoping for a 4-71, though.

AMT Polyglas tires
Brett Barrow replied to Harry Joy's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I see that, thanks! Should have them today. I'm not really on here as part of my job, I just come here as a hobbyist, but I'm glad to help out when I can! -
Air brushing questions.
Brett Barrow replied to Helper Monkey's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
My advice? Quit using the art paints and stick to hobby or automotive paints. Tamiya lacquers or acrylics, or Testors lacquer or enamels, Duplicolor, stuff like that. Stuff that's made to stick to plastic or metal. Art paints aren't made for that. Not saying they're impossible, but get a feel for the other stuff first. Get a spray booth, vent it outside and paint at home. Best money I ever spent on the hobby. -
It's awesome, I've been playing with it for a couple months. It's like something out of a sci-fi show that I never thought would be possible in real life. I only wish it would do the live translate on Japanese (I have a lot of Bandai kits!), but fot that you have to snap a picture first.

Has Revell 4 quarter been announced?
Brett Barrow replied to Mr mopar's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The only thing I've seen so far regarding 4th QTR has been Star Wars only. That's not to say they won't do anything besides Star Wars kits, but like Rob said, they do still have some previous announcements that still aren't out. -

Is the first pic the model or a reference photo? Looks real. -

Liquid cement questions
Brett Barrow replied to russosborne's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yes, buy a bottle of Tamiya just for the bottle. I use it as my cement of choice but I put other stuff in the empty bottles, like other cements and C/A accelerator. I highly recommend it for the bottle alone. -
My favorite build of this kit so far! And that's saying something, there have been some good ones.

Exactly what I said when I saw the changes Drew made, "dayum, that even looks good with the Model A grille!" Great minds think alike...

The Eagle tires were starting to show up around 80-81. Riverside, early 1981. The hats and jackets have an 80's vibe to them, too. But the black wheels look out of place for the early 80's and I'm pretty sure Unocal 76 sponsored the pit crew contest back then. I'd be willing to bet it's a car used in Richard's farewell tour in '92.

Gas for One or Two?
Brett Barrow replied to unclescott58's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
An NHRA-legal gasser would have two seats (or a full-width bench seat). Match racers or other sanctioning bodies may have been a different story. -
I thought she looked great in The Fall, (a British show available on Netflix, check it out it's great!). She's held up just fine.

Thanks Revell !
Brett Barrow replied to wayne swayze's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Because the rear wheel openings are raised., a fairly common hot rod modification. Stock fenders wouldn't match up. -
Revell 1950 Olds Whitewalls Question
Brett Barrow replied to fseva's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
They're called "Fiestas" because they were the type of wheelcovers that came on the Oldsmobile Fiesta line in the early 50's. There was also another popular "Lancer" style, named because they came on Dodge Lancers. They have 4 bars. -
Any idea how to remove a decal?
Brett Barrow replied to 花火's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You can try soaking it in water and see if it floats off. Then use glue from the blank areas of decal sheets to restick it. I actually did this successfully back in my early modeling days, but it was with a decal that had just been applied a few hours earlier. -
