  1. Most likely way more affordable then the Iwata CH-TH. Happy painting.

  3. I just read through your posts in this thread. You have done an amazing job on this build Bruce, it's great to see it back on the bench. Looking forward to seeing this completed.
  4. This is very very cool, great stuff. Hope to see it back soon. I have always wished at kit was done of this car.
  5. I stumbled onto these two pics while searching, man there are some really disturbing crash images out there.
  6. I dig discovering a new technique, it's part of what drives me the keep building.
  7. Good choice to knock those wheels down, they will look great.
  8. Very sharp looking, amazing decals and clear.. Really nice paint/weathering work on the chassis.

Thanks Dan, this design does seem have some room for some artistic 'growth' if you will. This build is on the back burner while I mess around with the Merc.
  15. Great to meet all you fellow Canucks and half Canucks (Ace). Thanks for posting.
  16. Thanks very much guys. Well as far as problems and fixing and or hiding them I have become very efficient at both, I've had a life time of breaking stuff by accident. Lol
  17. So I am not loosing my mind, the panels did shred off the car.
  18. Small update. I 'think', this configuration is going to work. 90 mins to bend up both hinge rods. I snapped the first attempt at making the second one, being these are mirror images of each other I got a bit anal with trying to match them. I am using spring steel rod that is .014" Dia, I went with this stuff as it is really 'stiff' when compared to wire. It will take more abuse and hold it's shape where wire could eventually bend and become misshapen. The actual hinge protion of this configuration will be a floating setup at the 'hinge' or pivot end. The rods will be secured permanently to the hood. I had to cut the rad support to provide clearance for the rods. All in all it has been rather simple so far. The mocked up shell/chassis and hood seem to work pretty well. Thanks for checking out the progress. As usual any comment are welcomed, good or critical, I have big shoulders I can take it.
  19. Rick, dude those are wicked good. I have to say I really dig how you transformed the Tarrantula into that bug creation!
  20. Sorry to cause you alarm Snake. Never even thought of that as a possibllity Thanksfor your efforts Jesse, but again, I too have found these photos.
  21. Nothing will replace a great BMF job or a great masking job and Motolow sprayed through an air brush. These pens simply can't lay down a chrome quality finish. Free hand trim work or any other attemp to represent a crisp line can not be accomplished without masking.
  22. Users/customers have been complaining about how unreliable they are for years. I remeber posts back in 2009 when I first joined up here about the same issues of time dragging on FOREVER before an order was filled.
  23. That looks to be a decent kit, at least the wheels and stance look proper. I am sure you'll do it justice Geoff.
  24. Got these in the mail yesterday. 5, 1/4" full rolls and a partial, more then enough to last me a life time of building. Remember those hand held label makers from the 70's-80's that made up a label with white raised lettering like a credit card that were also self adhesive tape. You could get them in widths from 1/4"-1/2". I beat some of you are thinking 'ya so, what do those have to do with building models'. About 8yrs ago when I was building a race car and scribing numerous straight lines using layered up masking tape I thought to myself, 'there has to be a better way to scribe straight lines'. Then I thought of this stuff, but had no idea what it was called. The thought was then forgotten until a recent conversation with member Faust, he revealed he has been using this method for years and the popular brand name of this stuff is Dymo Tape. A quick evilBay search resulted in a purchase of the rolls you see posted here. Not Dymo brand, but the same none the less, this stuff seems thinner and more flexible then I remember, perhaps it is because it's only 1/4" and not the more common 3/8". So a huge thank you goes out to Adam aka Faust.
  25. Wow that is a ton of cutting, looking good from here. Intereting approach. Like JC asked, can you make another body out of the cut up left overs?
