The Hudson is a 6 cylinder.

TS 54 is closer to GM Maui blue used on the early 90s Chevy Lumina.

Tamiya spray paint spot repairs very well. You can mask off the roof around the affected areas and just re spray them. When dry just polish the repaired area to match the rest of the roof.

I think the pointed tip of the fender molding is closer to the front vertical edge of the marker lamp. Trim the back edge of your piece and line up the point with the front of the marker lamp.

I have a few upstairs in my den and living room but most of my built up models are in boxes in my basement. I have comparatively few built ups versus unbuilt kits; probably about 10: 1 kits to built models, maybe greater.

I believe the 412 used an almost 5 liter V-12 where the 330 was just under 4 liters.

The burn through is an easy fix. Spray some of the TS-39 into a cap or a jar. Then take a small brush and cover the burned through area. The color will blend very well . I've done this on an AMT Mitsubishi with this very color and I know where the repairs are but anyone who didn't know would have to look very closely to see them.

That's about the stock level of the closest HL to me; maybe a few more at yours.

I picked up that same kit yesterday at my local Michaels with the 20% off coupon. Into the stash it goes.

The Revell kit has the old axle beam front suspension. The Aoshima kit would have the strut style suspension. But the Aoshima kit is, I believe, a '73( kit's at home, I'm at work) with the curved windshield. So kit bashing is in order.

I don't think that's possible. I believe the tooling was modified and the '70 Coronet(the body and interior anyway) that's been available over the last few years is derived from that kit.

"Full detail" is open to interpretation. The 956 kit doesn't have the rear brake cooling ducts( while the closed up 962 kit does. Go figure) and other small details. At least it goes together well.

Today I picked up the Tamiya Datsun 240ZG and the reissued Brabham BT44b( which I first built back in the late 70s).

I recall that the kits weren't received with the enthusiasm that Trumpeter expected, There was a large amount of mostly justified criticism about the details of the kits- the too tall windshield in the Nova convertible, the roof length of the Pontiac hardtop, the engine of the Monte Carlo, and the body shape and engine of the Falcon. I believe that Trumpeter took the attitude that " since you don't like our car kits we won't sell them here any more."

Spray the remaining decals with Testor Ultra Gloss clear. It won't harm the decals and keeps them from crumbling.

We only have a certain amount of space so we have to be wise as to its allocation. The room is large but we have to allow for aisle width and door access per the fire marshal and we only have so many tables available to use. We are aware that our attendees would like better access to the contest area which is why we are discussing rearranging the layout for a better show experience.

An update. We may not have the slot car drags as the owner of the track has sold it. We have a possible line on another track but if it doesn't happen we are discussing moving the contest to the drag track area and deciding what to do with the current contest area.

We got word this past week that our host venue, Macomb County Community College, is re-opening their activities building as of September so we were told that our show could resume this November. As requested by several attendees we will be enlarging the model show display area a bit. To do that we will be slightly reducing the number of vendor tables. Not to worry, the loss will be less that a dozen tables so we will still have about 300 tables. The NNL style show themes will be '70 and '71 muscle cars and Corvettes. There's no added charge to enter the NNL above the show entrance fee of $5. See you there!
