Depends on the vintage of Heller kit to which you're referring. The earlier kits like the Porsche and the Ferrari are a lot better than the later ones like the Ford Focus, Peugeot and Citroen rally cars.

I've never known a need to polish Future. It's self leveling. Maybe polish the color coat next time, then apply Future?

Car Kit News. Big scale.

What would give me pause is wondering what Tamiya left out of the kit as is their habit. -
Paul, the Rossford show was good only if you're interested in other types of toys. Not too much in the way of model cars.

Hope it doesn't smell like a real one! -
Went to the two shows in Ohio yesterday. Picked up an Accurate Miniature McLaren M8B, an Esci Mercedes 190, a bag of parts from the old AMT Indy car triple kit, and some 1/20th scale aluminum injector stacks for use on my MPC McLaren M8D. A buddy scored an unbuilt 80s issue JoHan '64 Dodge for $20.

The Buick dealer that I worked at back in 1987 had two GNXs- #248 and #510. I wonder where they are now?

What kits do you collect?
ZTony8 replied to carbuilder1950's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I see empty spaces on those shelves; shouldn't waste it. You need to fill them with more kits. -
I used some round toothpicks on a '65 Pontiac 2+2 as a temporary set up and they worked so well on the Pegasus wheels I used I might just paint the toothpicks black and be done.

Collector is just the polite term for styrene junkie. -
There are several flat TS paints and some gloss AS paints.

I don't know if it's still produced but years ago there was a product called Liquid Ebony for use as a scratch hider on black vehicles. -
Back in the 80s I had a '75 Olds Omega with a 260 V-8 and 3 on the tree with Rally suspension. I used to autocross it. I had fitted it with 245/60-14 Goodyear Wingfoot tires on 14 X 7 Buick polycast wheels. The car had some miles on it so the rear springs were sagged out a bit and the rear of the car sat a bit lower( common on that version of the X body) and changed the weight distribution a bit. I used to run with as much gas in the tank as I could have because that helped even more. I had set a goal to beat a guy who, at the time, worked for General Tire and was assigned a new '82.. Z-28 on some new type General tires. It took me all season but I did finally did beat him at an autocross with my little wimpy Olds.

Ford C800 Gar-Wood Load Packer. It's Happening!
ZTony8 replied to chuckyr's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
That would be behind you. -
Years ago I had a '79 Malibu coupe with a factory 4 speed and the F-40 trailer suspension. (The idiot from whom I bought it thought it was the F 41 Rally suspension) and it used to launch the same way. Surprised me the first time I tried it.

I hadn't thought about using that kit. Thanks.
