This is pretty easy. Take a small sauce-pan and heat the water to just over luke-warm. Place the part in the water for a minute or two, until it's pliable, and then hold it on a flat surface until it cools. I'd recommend a small block of wood with a couple of clamps to hold it in place tightly and flat until it dries and cool. I'd use either the ratcheting mini-clamps or spring-loaded c-clamps with a small piece of wood or plastic between the jaw and the part to prevent damage. Charlie Larkin

Generally, I use either flat paints with a semi-gloss clear or semi-gloss paint. If I need to use gloss paint, I hit it with semi-gloss. Makes for sort of an Armor-All look. Charlie Larkin

I was going to suggest similar. I've had fairly good results with brushing some aluminum paint into the buckets, and then attaching with white glue, which gives an ever-so-slightly opaque quality to the lens. Charlie Larkin

Well....let's see.... I listen mostly to WBZ (AM 1030) and WJIB when I'm inside 128 (AM 740), so that doesn't bother me... Air I don' mind, although over the years, I've had so many cars with non-working a/c that it doesn't bother me that much one way or the other except when it's really humid, especially with the newer cars that have such good aerodynamics, half the time, putting the window down doesn't make a bit of difference. Vinyl interiors never bothered me very much. I actually rather like them in wagons like I drive. Hot/sticky? Put a Kool Kushion on the seat. Problem solved. Manual windows, locks, etc., don't bother me, either. Having had power stuff break/untraceably short out, etc., mechanical linkages look really good. At least fixing the manual stuff is pretty straight-forward. Oh, wait, I guess I am a bit of Luddite....perhaps I proved Rob's point. Charlie Larkin

Personally, I'd pony up a little extra and get a Ford Focus hatch. More room, about the same mileage and a fair bit more space. I'm not exactly small, and find a Focus fairly comfortable. Alternately, a Hyundai Elantra Touring would also offer more/about the same as a Focus, perhaps for a bit less money. Want still more space for less money as it will be older? If you can find a nice, low-mileage 2000-07 Focus wagon, you'll be very happy with it based on the reports of a few people I know that have them. 35-38 mpg on the highway is pretty regular, with about 30 in-town.
