  1. That's one sharp-looking farm implement. Charlie Larkin
  2. My store will be getting one or two in tomorrow...um, later this morning. Charlie Larkin
  3. The end result is nice. The way they set up the wheels was not one of AMT's better ideas. Nice job painting them. Charlie Larkin
  4. What I'm curious about is why did Revell ship off the fairly new Torino molds to Revell Germany? The only thing I can see is a way to make more money off the American market- the re-importation is expensive, and it's reflected in both wholesale and retail prices. Charlie Larkin
  5. Hmm...small "V" cut in the column, add a stalk, instant tilt column? Charlie Larkin
  6. Another very nice model in the works. What blue did you use for the blue interior? I like that, and I might well do that to mine, but with a gray exterior. Charlie Larkin
  7. What an interesting idea for a build. Nice job. Charlie Larkin
  8. The idea is very good. May I make a suggestion for next time, if there is one? So that we can see approximately how much plastic you removed, it would have been helpful to pencil in borders on the upper and lower ends (i.e., on the outer edge of the pillar and down towards the drip rails,) and cross-hatching the area in-between. Where that isn't possible now, could you give us an idea of the amount of plastic that was removed by eyeball measure, if need be, so we have a starting point? Charlie Larkin
  9. Curious- how is that identified? Charlie Larkin
  10. Judging from how the Fergusons sold (very quickly, and we're waiting for more,) I'll bet that little Porsche tractor will be a brisk seller, perhaps not in North America, but definitely in Europe, athough it's so good-looking, I could see people here buying it simply because it looks good. Charlie Larkin
  11. Very nice, Steve. The colors work well. Wait...GREEN grass (or any at all) in Minnesnowta in January?? Wow. Charlie Larkin
  12. We had six arrive the Friday before Christmas, and as of yesterday when I went off the floor, we only had one left. I had to stop in for a few minutes today, but I didn't notice if we had any left. It's been a very good seller, we'll probably try to keep two on the shelf for the next couple of months to meet demand. Charlie Larkin
  13. If you can't get one in a reasonable amount of time, let me know. The store I manage has five on the shelf and we'll do mail order. Charlie Larkin
  14. Very nice save. What did you use for the engine bay and chassis? Charlie Larkin
  15. Coming along very nicely. Charlie Larkin
  16. What a gorgeous color. Charlie Larkin
  17. The brown with yellow interior is going to be a really pretty car. Perhaps do a cream-colored roof to suggest a head of foam? Charlie Larkin
  18. I'll make no bones of this, I'm wondering if you might have saved some work for yourself by making the forms for those fenders from basswood or built-up sheet-plastic. The 3D printing is cool, but it seems to have created a lot of extra work for you. Nevertheless...this is awesome. The concept and execution are working beautifully so far. Consider Tamiya TS-55 Dark Blue for the body with a slightly lighter blue for the upholstery, or tan. Either would work nicely. Where did you get the engine from? Charlie Larkin
  19. Sign me up for a whole slug of this stuff! If your own casting work isn't successful, I'm willing to bet that at least one of the aftermarket companies will be happy to use these masters. I'd give first refusal to the DRAG guys, and then possibly Fireball Modelworks. Charlie Larkin
  20. Six of them now sitting on my shop's shelf. I'll grab mine next week when I get paid again. Charlie Larkin
  21. Agreed. Eduard especially has some of the best molding an mold-work in the entire hobby business. A testimony to their tool-makers and designers. Charlie Larkin
  22. This is one car that really needs to get a new mold done. With the proper options and parts, it would probably sell very, very well. Charlie Larkin
  23. I wasn't in the store today, although I'm on my way down to get my pay, but three were ordered for today. I'll be interested to see if there are any left. Charlie Larkin
  24. Well done. Charlie Larkin
