  1. We don't have the Mod Rod kits up here , at least last week. I would have picked up those 2 for sure. We did have the Flintstones car up here.
  2. Nice work.
  3. Another great build from your bench.
  4. It is not the right thing to do with a model for sure. As far as AMBR there has been a 2 time winner. The Ridler Award in Detroit it is in the rules that this event is the first time the car can be shown in completed form to be eligible. Once you sell a model you no longer have control of it. It is the new owners obligation to do the right thing. Many shows have display only tables and everyone still takes pictures of them on the table. What is wrong with that? All we know is that it was at a model show correct?
  5. The old 32 came out nice.
  6. Thank you for posting some nice work going on there.
  7. I like this Hugh. Nice job on the paint work.
  8. This came out to nice for a dump truck. I like it.
  9. I have seen the others you posted but I did not know they produced the above beauty.
  10. This looks good in black. I would have tossed the Chevy also.
  11. Yes this is a good way to spend an hour faster than you think. LOL I like the commentators they are good.
  12. They had a hot rod overhead valve V8 before Chevy did. In fact the fastest production car in 57 was not a Chevy, it was a Studebaker. There is another video with the Galaxy kicking some tail LOL.
  13. Tim Maybe if sort out your stuff before you get the dust started. All the diecast in one spot, sorted by how ever you want. same with the plastic kits. Then pack it away for the remodel. If you are starting with a clean room it will be better. I like the idea of laying it out before you start. Do you want shelves around the top? Do you want to make a desk out of the cheapest thing possible ( no wrong answer here) or do you want to go with base cabinets for a kitchen? We have all looked at very nice models built on a door. I guess you have to decide what the room is going to be for over the long haul. What others think doesn't matter make yourself happy and comfortable, you will build more.
  14. Wow this is stunning.
  15. Molds were not scraped and the parties interested in making parts have them. All good news. Another way to look at what was and what was not kept might be as simple what fit into their molding machines.
  16. The front of the fram does not connect to the axle. The springs mount is on the rear of the front crossmember. Looks silly to me but it is their car not mine. I will say it served its purpose made you look and all of us.
  17. One of the local theaters here has recliners, very nice. Well I just checked and they are not showing it there. A good 45 minutes away is the closest. Bummer.
  18. That was fast. Looks good.
  19. Casey there was a 78 in Toledo area when I was driving my 78 Cutlass , around 85. I liked the look of that one also. My cousin had a 78 pontiac at the time, the only reason i noticed. I think the 59 was done for a prototype (one of 2 if I remember correctly) and used for a parts runner at the Pontiac plant until it slipped out the back door. A story was in a Hemmings mag a few years ago. I sure hope it was not an April issue. LOL
  20. My late friend had one back in the day I should have taken pictures. His was not as nice as this one.
  21. I was not old enough to have seen this at a theater. I am not sure that I have ever watched any part other than the chase on youtube. Growing up with 11 kids in the family we never got out of the house except for family reunions. LOL
  22. I grew up on a 3 acre piece of property that my dad still lives on. It was surrounded by a farmers field and pasture that had a creek running through it. Sometime in the 40's or 50's they blasted through the bedrock to make the creek larger. About 15 feet wide and 8 feet plus deep. Spent many a day playing around and in that. If I went to my buddies house a mile away it was more fun because he had neighbors our age. If we walked across the street to visit his great Aunt as soon as we walked in the front door of the house we were in Ohio as the porch was in Michigan. That was surrounded by woods with bike trails.
