  1. I second that Ray. I don't think they roll bars for anything other then looks back then. And it looks good.
  2. The good points keep flowing, I like it. As far as a VIN number, if the car never hit the road as a driver it would not need one. The big three all have test tracks around here in Michigan and other States. They even send cars and trucks to Canada for cold weather testing. All of these cars and trucks have VIN'S now but back then they might not have. Three of GM'S show cars from the 50's were saved when the scrap yard owner did not want to scrap the works of art. One or two he did cut up but did not crush. What was required of the guy crushing the test cars was a signed paper that he crushed a red Chevy or whatever it was. Times were simpler back then. If it was a new car he would not have known what it was anyway. They are stories but I heard a few about the going's on around Detroit and the DownRiver area here. a ton of things that were scraped or in a dumpster found there way outside the fence. It wasn't that long ago that w hen all the stuff changed.
  3. This was a very interesting read. A Pilot / test mule car more than likely. Is it a legit SS that is a good question. How many other SS cars have a body built 3 months before the Engine? Wouldn't this be a red flag any other time? Does the value come from the test mule or the SS option? It seems to me this is a hot car that should have never been sold but was, to some this just adds to the value.
  4. Something about a wagon just sits in the right spot here. Maybe because we had a few around the house, and I drove one for a year.
  5. Another nice looking trailer. I like your ramp placement better with this trailer.
  6. Someone just did a Volare on here. Nothing wrong with a second one though. The newer Duster would be different.
  7. Looks good Ray. Much better than mine did.
  8. Yes Chris, sorry after rereading my post I forgot to put that info on there. Getting old. LOL Macomb Community College Sports & Expo center.
  9. Another fine piece of art from the other side of the pond.
  10. The Natives of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan have the same accent as Canadians that live in Ontario just north of them. We call them Uppers and they call us Trolls, because we live under the bridge.
  11. Being a Lions fan I had no dog in the race. I have watched many a second half meltdown from my team over the years. It comes down to how bad do you want it. Falcons have one of the best receivers in the league along with a great QB. They will be back.
  12. This is turning out even better.
  13. Wow they never get the cheap here. I nave not even seen a 1/25 scale get below 12.00. Must be to many builders/collectors around these parts. 5 bucks for the 70 or 71 bird good price.
  14. As I just read through the other posting for your invite to the other club I was referring to. LOL I have meet a couple of those guys and they are nice guys.
  15. Good to hear another copy is headed our way. Always a treat Greg.
  16. Detroit Area Auto Modelers puts this on. Sunday March 26th, 2017. 9Am- 3PM. 5.00 to get in. Great show well worth the time to go. There is also a Down River group around you also. Not sure when they meet but I think there is a section here for that info.
  17. The same is happening in the Classic Car World. They are also worried about who is taking over.
  18. Looks good. Nice color and wheels choice.
  19. Lorne Greene another great Canadian actor.
  20. On one of my fishing trips in Canada we went into a restaurant for lunch. Everything was fine with the food and service. When we went to pay the girls at the counter were speaking clear english and then flipped over the French in a second. I told my friend they were talking about how ugly these two Americans are. LOL I hope for another smooth fishing trip again his year in that great country. Just love the piece and quiet while on the lake.
  21. I agree about the Ranchero, Nice car-truck but they are not heavy enough to be a pulling a trailer with a car on it. A 57 Ford wagon or another full size wagon would look good with a Cobra behind it. That is if you are going for the 60's-70's track look.
  22. 1979 Capri with an 86 5.0 , 1978 Cutlass with a warmed over 400 chevy and my brothers 70 Torino 429 SCJ Drag pack car. It was rough (but fixable) and at the time not worth the money to have the work done. He was unemployed and sold the engine and trans before the car was scrapped.
