  1. I see I'm not alone here. I loved my 1980 C10 so much and when it was smashed into oblivion [I wasn't in it, it was parked] I went into a depression for a while. It was the best shop truck ever. The heat sucked and it needed tires but the 350/4spd was perfect for picking up parts and the paint was original and in good nick. The chassis had over 300K on it and it was solid as a rock. I look now and then for one and the prices are out of hand for a decent example. Being a Chevy guy has proven to be tricky over the years. I see Fords all over the place and they too are fetching good prices of similar vintage. But it has to be a Chevy for me. The 70's models are getting stupid as far as money goes if you want a solid base to build on.
  2. One of my faves.
  3. So well done, and at 1/43!!
  4. Very nice. The expression on the drivers face is priceless.
  5. That kit has never looked better Art. Well done...
  6. Wow, a snapper eh? You can't tell from where I'm sitting. Just beautiful any way you view it.
  7. Very nice results. You will be formidable in short order I think.
  8. SoryTurd really just doesn't capture how much of a turd it really is. That totally slayed me....
  9. The finest work I have ever seen. I too have been admiring this man since the early 90's. The guy can take a 30 part Jo-Han and turn it into a museum piece.
  10. I see a sealed USS Constitution for sale for 5.00. Seems legit.
  11. I know all the local comic shops well. I already have them on the lookout. It's a set of comics that I ordered. Just variant editions that cost 14.99. The KIT was the real loss here. You are right of course. Once they see it requires WORK and SKILL to build it will go in the scrap heap. More's the Pity. Time to check Craigslist I think. Of course I need to know what I'm looking for. Dan?
  12. It's not looking good at all. I had another item that day that got nabbed and I suspect that both packages were just laid on the porch. The people across the street said there was someone on my porch. Kinda wish they would have yelled but they are a bit timid.
  13. Feels like Christmas lately eh Bill? This then the microscope?
  14. What a good friend. Only use it for evil Bill..
  15. A Pinto wagon with the wheels up just floors me!!
  16. People have been doing it since they were first offered. As with the Vega, short wheelbased cars present a challenge to make hook and go without taking an unexpected turn or jumping straight into the air. My old Vega used to jump until I tamed it correctly. Then it ran 9.5 at 125 or so. There was lots more in it especially MPH since I ran a 4 speed and had to coax it out of the box without setting the tires ablaze. Point is Pinto's made great drag cars. There is a litany of Hall of Famers who ran them in the 70's. Gapp & Roush and of course Bob Glidden come to mind first.
  17. All good stuff that Bill posted. I'd add that fuel burning drag cars have relatively mild cams. With a 14:71 supercharger pushing Oxygen laden Nitro down into the cylinders a radical camshaft is truly not needed. In fact, exhaust timing is more important than intake on those cars as scavenging is paramount to lessen hydraulic lock since the engine is force fed.
  18. Glad to see you are pleased Dan. The goal was not something outrageous but challenging. Very cool history of this and quite a few other H-D and motorcycle kits I have. I bought these from our dear leader Gregg himself when he was culling his personal stash. So these came from Hawaii to Baltimore, then brought up here to Mass, then sent to Canada to you. Have fun with it. Bob
  19. That's the draw. Blade Runner is the best SciFi of all time IMHO. Looking forward to this depressing bit as well.
  20. Stunning from where I sit. And I thought the 1965 GTB was a looker.
  21. Awesomeness. I love painting that stuff. I have a Flamspyre Phoenix I'm working on.
  22. Something tells me that the owner would notice a ding. I'll wager he knows every inch of that thing.
  23. I have tried that before, very good tone. I also tried the tiny Dark Terror. For my money that is one of the best sounding little Metal amps in the world. I like Boogie gear but that Orange stuff is very good.
