  1. Where did you get these please.....
  2. Thanks Casey
  3. Snowed this morning here in Mass. It's April 2nd FFS!
  4. I'm no Vette guy but that LT1 has me intrigued. Anyone know more about this kit and can expound on what limited info the presenter gave? TIA
  5. How were the decals? It came out exceptionally nice.
  6. Same here. I'm over this winter, mild as it was.
  7. SPRING you say? HAH! I've seen no evidence of that.
  8. Amazing paint...
  9. The wait has been so worth the result. This level cannot be achieved by shortcuts. I'm very pleased you are back at it Chris.
  10. My question is what comics were in the stash. If you have any questions about them I'm your guy.
  11. Paint is Krylon Fusion Patriotic Blue. I cut the antennae to its base since I've been doing that with all the Deal kits I guess I didn't want to break with tradition.
  12. As I continue my climb from my own sorrows and losses in life it decides to snow mid March. I am doing so well and here it comes, so I threw a punch back and started this Yesterday. All that i need to attach is the antennae, but I cannot find wire the correct size and I don't feel like hitting the basement just now. Acrylic paint mostly with some enamel primer thrown in. Great kit to go with all the other Dave Deal stuff I've built over the years. Go get one as they're selling out.
  13. Seems fairly underhanded if not illegal. Good job bank.
  14. Welcome to aging. Many of us are starting to feel it.
  15. That blue 5 window is perfection.
  16. Impressed. I didn't know that guy dug styrene.
  17. NASCAR is full of butthurt babies. It's end cannot come soon enough. Either that or they man up and race properly.
  18. Wow, from the frying pan and all that.....
  19. As a student of language I am bombarded with this weekly in my perusal of the Internet. I DO NOT have a Masters degree in English. I am several points short of that. My continuing education has come through reading largely. My occupation on the counter at my NAPA store affords me an opportunity to speak with people of almost all education levels. I hear words and phrases horribly mutilated on a daily basis. I do correct those I work with if I have the space to do it. I do it privately and they thank me. They all know I am there to make them better in this respect. They understand I'm not "coming down from the mountain" to scold them on their diction or application of words. Gentle reminders or corrections if done with tact can avoid shame or even anger from those you wish to elevate.
  20. At least that's my hope.....
  21. My car had been slowly losing coolant over the last several weeks. I thought I had a bad hose and figured I'd get it when the weather broke. Then it took 2 gallons of coolant to get to work [23 miles] Thursday. Water pump went bad and I guess the first clue was standing on the side of the road and seeing the passenger side wheel and splash guard completely covered in anti freeze. Since I was working I had the kid in the garage next door have a go and he did brilliantly. I paid him 35.00 an hour for two hours work and i got to drive instead of wrench. i could get used to this. Last year it overheated due to a blown top hose and I had to do the head gasket out back of where I work. While tools were available, it was a PITA nonetheless. I've owned the car for 13 years and since I have no car payments I have repair bills instead. The good thing is most of it is new and should be good for some time.
  22. It actually kind of is since I was talking about one vehicle and its only two engine options for that year. I wasn't cross pollinating brands or going Euro v US. And within that example i was operating in the "6 cylinders of oil in a 4 cylinder" is actually a good indicator of the dealers error. But you are correct in a broader sense. For the purposes of my illustration I was spot on.
  23. I am personally super stoked I no longer work on cars. Selling parts has its own set of problems but nothing like any of this. If I wanted to return to the garage I'd need to invest a great many thousands just on diagnostic equipment. My little Cavalier runs and runs and I just keep fixing it as I go. And the bulbs that came in the car all still function. That makes 13 years I've owned it and probably before. I'll wager some if not all were installed at the time of assembly.
  24. Reality TV doesn't exist. Except maybe that Cops show.
