  1. Sitting in my hobby room....I should build something.
  2. Yes..that's the place I was thinking of. Haven't bought anything from them, but their site does look interesting. https://thesalesshack.net
  3. I think I know the place you are referring to...a relatively new site. Alas, I can't remember the name and didn't bookmark it.
  4. I like the taste of beets, but can't eat them. I have severe stomach reactions to them.
  5. Yes, really surprised there are no kits of the '15+ Challenger available. I have a couple resin Hellcat engines destined for various projects, and I know there are Hellcat and Demon conversions in resin coming from a couple of resin casters, but a kit with potential multiple variations would be great. I'd love to see the current Charger kitted...several variations there also--R/T, Hellcat, etc..
  6. And the Hellcat Redeye... (Hellcat Widebody w/ Demon engine and different hood). And a regular '15+ SRT 392 would be nice also.
  7. A guy a couple streets over has an old Camaro in his Halloween display this year..had a rustbucket '57 Chevy 2dr sedan last year. Last year's display:
  8. Went to a clambake for dinner. It's more of New England/North East thing, but very popular in the Cleveland area. A dozen clams, drawn butter, chicken, asparagus, mashed potatoes, stuffing. I went to two last fall--one in an Italian restaurant and one in a seafood restaurant. The one today was in a restaurant from Montana that has a location here, looks like a Western lodge inside. A bit odd of a setting for a clambake, but delicious...
  9. I don't remember the '55 Corvette...I think all 3 were probably issued as built up retro promos. I have the prebuilt version of the Mako Shark and the snap kit version.
  10. Went to a concert downtown, had front row, center seats. Great show. Classic cosmic prog rock from John Lodge. On the way to the show, while slowly going down a busy two-lane street dead-ending into the club parking, the police pulled over the SUV behind me...which was a black Jeep that appeared identical to mine. Odd. On the way home, my Jeep hit the 40,000 mile mark. Not bad for a '14. Watched a freighter go down the river out into Lake Erie from the club, tried to take pics, but through the glass my phone made a blurry pic. Outside I took a few pics of the city and river at night. Mellow evening.
  11. Went to my local German restaurant for dinner..had a couple Warsteiners, a pretzel, curry wurst and crepes w Nutella for dinner. Perfect for a 50 degree fall evening.
  12. Yeah, my daily driver ‘14 Grand Cherokee has the auto lamps, DRLs and electroluminescent IP. I leave the lights in automatic on most of the time.
  13. I see some of that, some of those could be cars with daylight running lights and the driver hasn't realized they have to turn the headlights on at night. That has happened to before with rental cars---like a rental Impala I was driving and the headlights themselves were the DRLs and I hadn't turned on the lights at night.
  14. Those are neat...in scale, I'd like to build a ute from the Revell Dodge Magnum.
  15. Yah, and maybe paint them like a fictional police force, and number each one.
  16. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I'll get $20 worth of tickets when it's big, but otherwise don't bother...not much of a gambler.
  17. In the past, I've looked into moving to LA, the SF Bay area, or Seattle as I love those those areas and the tech job market is great there. But the real estate costs relative to the salaries is insane. If I were still 25, I'd be happy w/ a 500 sq ft apt or condo..but approaching 50, I like my wooded lot and 2500+sq ft house in the Cleveland suburbs, and can live well on $150k/yr here and have a lot of medium-big city amenities close by. In the past, I've lived in rural areas, small towns, a resort town, a couple of college towns, in relatively big cities (Denver and Phoenix) and the suburbs, but where I'm at now works for me.
  18. Well, $1m is nearly 7 years of salary to me (before taxes). After taxes, it just doesn't feel like a lot to live on for 30 years. Certainly enough to pay off the mortgage and current bills and add to my nest egg. Feels like I'd need more long term to be able to drop out of the corporate life at my current age...
  19. Not me...I'm only 48, hope to live as long or longer than my Dad did. $1m wouldn't last 30 years.. and I don't want to live out in the sticks.
  20. I like the Australian Holden Ute and Ford Falcon Ute...
  21. It wouldn't surprise if it's an all new kit, vintage race cars are a hot subject right now...look at all the new and upcoming releases from Belkits and Beemax...way cool subject, IMO.
  22. I plan on getting a set..I want to do a '70 4x4 crew cab.
  23. Heading home from a Sunday morning Starbucks run a few years ago, I stood on the brakes in my old Jeep to avoid hitting a cat darting across the street. I should have had the coffee sitting in the cupholders, but I had two pumpkin spice lattes sitting in the passenger seat in one of those flimsy coffee trays they hand out at the drive thru...big mess all over the dash, windshield and passenger's side footwell...
  24. I'm not sure where I'd live if money were no object. I do like NE Ohio, wouldn't mind having some lake front property on Lake Erie. But there are a few places on the West Coast that I wouldn't mind living also. I want to stay in a major metro area where there is top-notch healthcare available, arts and entertainment, and a great variety of cuisine available. Being near a major body of water is a must, done with really dry places.
