  1. HLJ still doesn't list them...I should have preordered them from Hobby Search, I guess...
  2. And both hoods also...nice.
  3. That business strategy definitely seems like it sells more kits than including all the options in one kit...spread them out over multiple releases.. by the way, does this release include the uptop from the Supreme street machine version? I have one of the IPC ones on order, should have it this weekend...
  4. At lunch, I saw a bright green '15 Challenger R/T convertible w black wheels rolling along in traffic, top down. Saw 2 Bentley Continental convertibles, one black, one dark blue. All within a mile around my office. On the way home this afternoon, I saw a '65 Shelby GT350 in white w/ blue stripes, a white '75-75 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and a dark red '66-67 Lincoln Continental convertible (both top down)..
  5. Neat..didn't realize DDM was still around. I bought a lot of models at them in the late 80s-early 90s in E. Ohio..
  6. Yes, the Challenger, Mustang and Corvette kits were all originally Palmers, the only kits Palmer did in 1/25th I believe. The Challenger was the best of the 3, the Mustang suffers from having a roof that looks more like a '69-70 than a '71-73, among other issues.
  7. That sounds right...I remember getting them from hobby shops around that time.
  8. Interesting...separate top framing..wonder if the top is not plastic (fabric or canvas) ?
  9. The first ones I actually remember is from around 1975, when I was 4-5...'73 Mercury Marquis 4dr ht, '67 Cougar, '68 Cougar, and '69 Mustang Sportsroof (this was the car that I was brought home from hospital in, in 1970). My Mom still has the Cougars and the Mustang in the family barn in E. Ohio.
  10. My folks were married in '48, 22 years before I was born. My Dad had a '40 Packard 2dr then, which they took on their honeymoon. Their first car together was a new '49 Ford Tudor, replaced by a '52 Ford Fordor. During their 51 years of marriage, most of their cars were Ford products.. the last new cars my Dad bought (he passed in '99) were a '96 Lincoln Town Car and a '96 Ford Explorer Sport for my Mom. I've seen B&W photos of most of their cars from before when I was born...
  11. Sounds interesting...anyone have a pic of that particular box art? I have the original issue '64 ht & conv kits, the Countdown Series, and several of the reissues since then incl. the current one.
  12. It's been discussed in various threads here, just a straight reissue of the '90s era kit in new retro box art.
  13. They are listed as Chevelle 300 2dr sedan. CHE-64sd for the '64, CHE-65sd for the '65. They also have the '64 and '65 Chevelle 300 2dr wagons.
  14. Which is odd, as it is essentially an unassembled promo w/ maybe 15 pieces? No where near the level of detail that Moebius is known for...
  15. I wonder why the A/C wasn't available w/ the FI.
  16. Annuals like '88 Silverado, Beretta, Mustang GT, Camaro IROC-Z, etc were also labeled as MPC. The Silverado and Beretta were all new tools for '88...for '89, all the annuals were boxed as AMT.
  17. A '70 442 Indy Pace Car convertible would be simple for them to do also.
  18. IIRC, subsequent issues of this kit didn't include both the hardtop and convertible uptop or those hubcaps. Would be nice to see a Round 2 reissue w/ all these parts.
  19. That's the old tool kit, as issued in 2009 (according to the Round 2 site)
  20. Ah...thanks, it works.. pic is a resin '65 Chrysler 300 I recently got off eBay from Time Machine Resin.
  21. Hmmm....so what did you do that I didn't? I put the IMG tags in brackets [] and put the URL between them... Also tried raw html, and it doesn't work.. <img src="http://images108.fotki.com/v1221/photos/2/28153/97045/IMG_0433-vi.jpg" />
  22. I've had no success in linking from my Fotki account usiing any method since the upgrade. I tried the approach Bob and Chris mentioned in previous posts---img tags w/ the photo URL between them. Doesn't work for me. Test: http://images108.fotki.com/v1221/photos/2/28153/97045/IMG_0433-vi.jpg
  23. A '59 Cadillac convertible custom on the Ambulance chassis would be interesting...either lengthen the rear or the front.
  24. I guess they didn't want spend the $$$ to tool up a 4dr sedan...a 2dr ht doesn't make sense as a fire dept vehicle.
  25. Who knows, maybe Moebius will follow up the ht with a sedan, like they are doing with the Satellite and Belvedere..
