Sharp builds..is that boat from a kit or scratch built or resin?

LoL...I remember back in the day kids put home shelf-style wooden case speakers in their rear shelves...the worn out cars with loud sound systems I remember from high school were late '70s-early '80s Monte Carlos, Grand Prix, Regals, the occasional Camaro or Firebird, Impalas...

I don't think anyone claimed Loewy designed the Google doodle...sheesh...you just trying to stir up trouble, Jarius?

Back in high school I knew guys that spent more on the stereo than on the car...worn out late '70s-early '80s rusty beaters with powerful sound systems.

I do see some drivers keeping it to themselves by wearing ear buds or the large over-the-ear headphones while driving...

So the '76 or so AMT van that was recently reissued looks like it would be a good donor for the other dirty bits (engine, tires, wheels, etc).

Good memory..yes, my brother has a 1:1 '79 IPC along w/ an '82 GT and an '85 GT. I eventually got minty unbuilt Monogram and MPC IPC kits, pretty sure it hasn't been reissued.

Hmmm...pretty sure the '79 Mustang IPC has never been reissued (since the tooling was modified into later Mustangs). I have the Monogram and MPC '79 IPCs in my stash.

I saw that..there is also the '78 reissue at $30.

That Bugatti would be nice..they do pop up on eBay occasionally (the '78 issue is usually pretty reasonable). A bunch of older Monograms I wouldn't mind seeing include the ex-Aurora Maserati 3500GT, Bugatti, the MG TC, '70s Merc 450SL, Land Rover (though I have one of those), Porsche 924, Mazda RX-7, Chevy LUV pickup, and some of the '30s classics (though those don't seem to sell well). All kits that haven't been out since I was a kid. For Revell, I'd like to see the Porsche 356 and 914 and some of the '80s Revell of Germany Porsches (911 Targa particularly). A more recent kit that would be nice to see reissued is the Essex Wire race Cobra.

Looking at the existing Revell/Monogram library, what hasn't been reissued in the last 10 years or so that would be a viable reissue? For example, I assume some subjects such as vast selection of '80s-90s NASCAR kits are off the table because of past market saturation and lack of demand.

Where is this speculation about an automatic transmission coming from???? If Revell is indeed releasing a '13 Boss 302 it will have to have a manual transmission to be accurate. As far as a 427 cammer, I would assume the Moeibus Comet will have a 289.

There were 1/2 dozen or so of those ex-Palmer Lindbergs...I remember getting a couple of them as a kid, all were 1971 vintage cars IIRC...Torino, Cougar conv, Mustang conv, Gremlin, Corvette conv... The earlier Lindberg Snap Fit kits circa '75-77 (along w/ Revell Snap-Tites) were what got me as a kid into the modeling hobby...the 'gateway drug'...I built the Granada, T-bird, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Monza.....

Who knows? Must have been a regional pronounciation from olden days.

A neat late '80s Aoshima Nissan Leopard coupe (was sold in the US as the Infiniti M30 back in the day) and an unbuilt '80s era Revell Beetle (molded in pink, I have the cabrio of the same era molded in teal, never had the sedan version).

Good point..I forgot to include the HLJ kits that are on 'Order Stop' that I want to get once they become available.

I've got 5 HLJ kit POs + 4 sets of wheels POed, 4 in the PW, 4 BOs, Plus there are at least 7 Revell issues in the next 2 months I'm interested in and maybe 4-5 from Round 2....

Got to feed the addiction...

...and December isn't going to be any cheaper..

A bit off-topic, but driving home tonight I saw a neat matte gray '72 Impala convertible w/ the license plate 'BOOK EM'...thought of your handle...
