What Revell should put out as Kits...
Rob Hall replied to TheCat's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The '57 Olds 88 is a handsome car..would be nice in 1:25 th.. -
Nice clean build. Like the color choice. Are those the kit whitewalls?
-
Cool...I have a Monkeemobile in my stash, have thought about using the AMT '65 GTO custom roof (which resembles a '66-67 roof) on it...

new kit 1963 f100 short bed
Rob Hall replied to jeffb's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Interesting...so they built the unibody and separate bed trucks concurrently...didn't know that. I've seen pics of 4x4 F-series of the '61-63 era w/ the '60 style bed, but hadn't seen 2wd ones before. Wasn't the AMT '63 annual the unibody F-series? I know the '61 is... -

What Revell should put out as Kits...
Rob Hall replied to TheCat's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Since Revell has '50s,'60s and,70s muscle well covered w/ their new releases, I'd like to see the 2nd half 2013 offer up some modern muscle--a '13 Mustang Boss 302, Shelby GT500, and Camaro ZL1 would be great variations of existing kits that I'd like to see...and the '14 Corvette C7 for a new tool. Given how long it took them to get the '10 versions out, I'm not optimistic, though. -
Sharp build..love the color.

A hardtop and parts to do a race car would be a great followup 2nd version of this kit...I'd like to do something like this: or this
-
Sharp...like the color combo..

Bummer...I've been a customer off and on for several years. Always had good customer service from them. -

True... I have no clue what goes on w/ RC, I don't pay attention to that world. Likewise for armor or aircraft modeling. -

Interesting..so Revell didn't have to pay to show at the NNL? Agreed on the internet...I've been buying models and stuff online for 15 years....hard to beat the ease of ordering something w/ a few clicks. -
Ford Van Grille with Square Headlights?
Rob Hall replied to hooknladderno1's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The MPC early '80s Econoline kits had the stock square light grille, IIRC. Never seen one offered in resin, though. -
Let's see your geegaws!
Rob Hall replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The MPC '78 Dodge Little Red Express Truck kit had a tool box (w/ tools cast into the inside bottom) and a 2-piece floor jack. Not sure if the reissues have those parts. I have a builtup AMT '61 Lincoln convertible that has a part that looks like an extra---a rectangular box w/ like six knobs on it. Someone long ago glued it in the middle of the back seat. Don't know what the part is or if it even came w/ the Lincoln. -
1/25 Revell '67 Dodge Coronet- Foose Edition
Rob Hall replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
This is apparently the 1:1 Overhaulin Coronet. Looks like it has a base Coronet grille instead of the R/T grille the Revell kit has. -

No idea about the M&H small slicks set, but Modelroundup has a large (tall, wide) set pictured, listed for November..had not heard about those. No idea about the other issues...though--someone on other forums suggested the Mystery Machine might be the one from the live-action movie a few years ago..never saw that, don't know what kind of van it was. The BHC Nova I assume is just a rebox of the hoary '72 SS w/ separate fenders...the movie car was a battered base model, IIRC. -
Sharp build..that orange just pops!

In any Internet community like this, there are always a number of luddites...best to just ignore them. -
