  1. What's wrong w/ the newer-tool AMT one? A '68-72 Chevelle based off the '72 Cutlass chassis would be nice...
  2. No biggie for me w/ the hardtop, I have a few parts AMT '62s I can source one from. And I figure the 2nd issue will have them. Alas, I went to my LHS and they had only 2 left, both of which had been reserved. I should have preordered one...oh well, wait until next month when the OLDs get them...
  3. It can be addicting...I've been on eBay for over 15 years, it's been my primary source for old kits, old diecast, random electronics, resin parts, resin kits, etc. Only had a couple transactions (out of over 1000) go sideways but they got resolved. Never sold anything, only bought. And with PayPal, it's so easy...just a few clicks. Glad they got rid of money order only sellers...that was a real pain in the butt back in the day. Biggest annoyance are their frequent site redesigns..
  4. They don't have decals for the whitewalls..that alone makes them worth getting IMO, not a fan of decal whitewalls.
  5. Read what you quoted... as Casey said, the recent Revell Challenger is ' 1/25 scale '70 T/A and/or R/T, which was based on the 1/25 Revell die-cast model. '
  6. Yeah, not my thing...kind of one of those 'you had to be there' things, like the fashion of that era. I do like Mopars of that era w/ regular vinyl tops, which they seemed to have a lot of.. I wouldn't mind doing a Cuda in a period color scheme w/ a regular vinyl top.
  7. Drastic Plastics has a Fotki album of pics of MH parts..there are a few others also. Googling on 'Modelhaus pictures' turns up a bunch of images of builtups and parts. http://public.fotki....urce/modelhaus/
  8. WeatherTech mats are great...I put a set of them in my Grand Cherokee (and a WT cargo mat) when I bought it back in '00. I haven't put any in my STS yet...still have my factory carpeted mats...but I will get WeatherTechs when I move to a climate w/ more precipitation.
  9. True, but the thread is about coupes...the 'notchback' body style. The '67/68 were never kitted in 1:25th.
  10. Looks like the MH has these listed now on their site. http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?part=1&new=1
  11. The '57 Olds 88 is a handsome car..would be nice in 1:25 th..
  12. Nice clean build. Like the color choice. Are those the kit whitewalls?
  13. Cool...I have a Monkeemobile in my stash, have thought about using the AMT '65 GTO custom roof (which resembles a '66-67 roof) on it...
  14. Interesting...so they built the unibody and separate bed trucks concurrently...didn't know that. I've seen pics of 4x4 F-series of the '61-63 era w/ the '60 style bed, but hadn't seen 2wd ones before. Wasn't the AMT '63 annual the unibody F-series? I know the '61 is...
  15. Since Revell has '50s,'60s and,70s muscle well covered w/ their new releases, I'd like to see the 2nd half 2013 offer up some modern muscle--a '13 Mustang Boss 302, Shelby GT500, and Camaro ZL1 would be great variations of existing kits that I'd like to see...and the '14 Corvette C7 for a new tool. Given how long it took them to get the '10 versions out, I'm not optimistic, though.
  16. Sharp build..love the color.
  17. Rat Rod has come to imply that a build is just a bunch of rusty junk parts slammed together...the builder of this rod views their product as more engineered, more thought out..
  18. A hardtop and parts to do a race car would be a great followup 2nd version of this kit...I'd like to do something like this: or this
  19. Those mod tops are wild..never seen one in person. My MPC '70 Cuda was builtup in orange w/ a well done black vinyl top when I got it.
  20. Sharp...like the color combo..
  21. Bummer...I've been a customer off and on for several years. Always had good customer service from them.
  22. True... I have no clue what goes on w/ RC, I don't pay attention to that world. Likewise for armor or aircraft modeling.
  23. Interesting..so Revell didn't have to pay to show at the NNL? Agreed on the internet...I've been buying models and stuff online for 15 years....hard to beat the ease of ordering something w/ a few clicks.
  24. The MPC early '80s Econoline kits had the stock square light grille, IIRC. Never seen one offered in resin, though.
