  1. The 5.0 badge does look a bit large. A couple things I've noticed, the black windshield and rear window frosting seems oversized, and the decklid edge looks too flat in the center..the 1:1 peaks slightly in the center, and has a slight lip. Hard to see if that is present in these pics.
  2. Nice weathering job.
  3. I'm sure the Twin I-Beam will be adequate for 1:25th scale though...
  4. Some of these issues shouldn't have been there if Revell had done better quality control on their product.
  5. Or instead of a hobby knife or sanding maybe use some sort of chisel or narrow blade to remove it.
  6. Yes, I know of the resin ones but that's more than I'm interested in paying..would be nice if RoG would do one (does Italeri even do any new tooling anymore?)
  7. Yeah, I finally got one of those this past summer along w/ the 275 GTB and 275 spyder kits...now if only there was a 1:24th scale kit of the Lusso...
  8. I enjoy Ferrari builds, my goal being to avoid bright red as much as possible and do them in the non-obvious colors.
  9. I think only the GTO is getting the Revell NA rebox. At least the reboxes are in normal boxes and molded in white. I don't like the flat boxes or them always being molded inconsistently in red (red body, gray hood??).
  10. Some of the techophobes and luddites around may not know how to send a PM...
  11. Correct...only the Monogram '91 and '92 GT convertible kits have the 'Pony' 5-spoke 16 inch wheels. The last MPC 1:25th was the '88.
  12. I'm 42, I can barely stay up past 10:30 most nights....part of that is I usually get up at 5:30 on weekdays...so I can get to the office between 7:30-8. On the weekends sometimes I'll stay up till midnight....I used to stay up late Saturday nights to watch F1 but just tiVo it instead and watch on Sunday mornings. I can't drink the way I did in my younger days, don't like hangovers.
  13. That's actually an issue w/ changing the wheels (and or tires) w/ any of Revell's newest kits...I don't care for the flange style wheels and wheelbacks...they seem rather cheesy.
  14. Some sort of Ford truck suspension, I presume...they had Twin I-Beam...TTB is probably Twin Torque Beam or Twin Truck Beam? Edit 'TTB' is Twin Traction Beam according to the Wikipedia entry on the F-series.
  15. True, but what remains of original information is usually just grainy B&W photos which aren't very useful..
  16. I never read what's on the box, so I would never have known about whether it's advertised as Tampo printed or decals...doesn't matter anyway.
  17. I assume it's in the sense of Moby Dick..an elusive object that is believed to exist and is searched for for a long time..
  18. Hmm...melty. I would think that would be illegal w/ no light on the right rear...
  19. That makes no sense how 1:32nd parts would work w/ 1:25th scale body..big difference in size..
  20. I'm particularly fond of Johan's Toronados, Eldorados, and deVilles...
  21. Who knows...strange things went on over 40 years ago. They also had the Boss 429 engine in the '70 & '71 Torino Cobra annuals. It's odd since the '69 Galaxie XL kit had a regular 429.
  22. The MPC Monaco 4dr is actually '78. Another resin kit is the '70 Impala 4dr ht from F&F. R&R has made quite a few more 4dr wagons also.
  23. I generally prefer the one piece ones..though multi-piece is ok, though some of them have fit issues w/ the fenders.
  24. My one experience w/ owning a Chrysler product has been positive, my Jeep Grand Cherokee has gone 140k miles in the 12 years I've had it, with a few issues but overall fine. I'd consider another Chrysler product, I especially like the current Charger and 300, would also consider another GC. My Dad had a '79 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 that I learned to drive in...it had numb steering w/ no on-center feel and a tendency to stall on left turns (one experience which no doubt led to my phobia of left turns I've had for 25+ years).
  25. Modelhaus makes a Country Squire wagon kit also, with the XL/LTD style hidden headlight grille. Those parts originated in the original AMT '70 LTD 4dr ht, which was never reissued, because that kit's tooling was revised to make the Galaxie kit.
