  1. The AMT '65 Galaxie has a bumper jack, toolbox, and a chromed screwdriver and pair of pliers IIRC...
  2. Sad to hear..I bought maybe 1/2 dozen kits from him about 25 years ago.
  3. A buddy in grad school had a red one, around an ‘87 IIRC. That squared hatch was a rare option. Most I’ve seen were the normal slanted hatchback.
  4. Had rain and cooler yesterday. Cloudy and humid today.
  5. Try the AccuWeather app. I’ve found it to be more accurate.
  6. Speaking of the Chevy Uplander (Outlander is a Mitsubishi), my local post office still had a couple in use back in 2019-2020.
  7. I don't know, but I do remember he had the Strictly Stock column in Scale Auto Magazine maybe 20-25 years ago.
  8. a bit cooler this week so far. Yesterday was very nice, lower humidity. Actually enjoyed sitting outside on the patio in the evening.
  9. Yeah, anything modern I just leave to the dealer to work on. I couldn't imagine trying to do anything under the hood of most modern vehicles.
  10. 70F with 88% humidity. 79F now, supposed to get to 86F later....may go to the lake this afternoon.
  11. And that Monogram Jimmy was 1/24th...was only issued once in 1980 it looks like..
  12. This is not a reissue--it's a modified version of the new tool mid 80s Blazer that came out a while back. The box art in the first post of this thread shows a stock hood.
  13. Appears to be two sets on the trees. Maybe NA and EU versions. The previous 1:1 gen (S550) had different mirrors in the EU and other markets due to regulations IIRC. Could be the same with the S650.
  14. For some reason that box art reminds me of 'King of the Hill'..
  15. Looking forward to the new Mustang, Jimmy, Lambo and C8 convertible.
  16. It was a Cadillac sports car based off the C6 Corvette platform but with a Cadillac Northstar V8. The V series version had a supercharger. The XLR had a slick folding hardtop roof that went into the trunk. Pretty low volume.
  17. Sweet XLR-V on that hauler. I'd love to have one.
  18. I did get a recall notice for the 10spd auto in my Cadillac...taking it in for a software update w/ the next oil change. It is a very smooth transmission.
  19. I remember seeing those in the late 80s..my late older brother was a salesman at the local VW-Mazda dealer in the late 80s-early 90s and he liked them a lot, though he drove an '84 Chevy S-10.
  20. Still miss my Dad, been gone since Christmas 1999, when I was only 29. I wish I had spent more time with him as an adult..I was busy in my 20s away at college and grad school, then 2000 miles away establishing my career...
  21. I love those MPC Pontiacs. I have a few in my stash. The '71 & '72 GP plus the Sweathogs version are in the row behind the front row.
  22. Today was a nice respite from the recent heat and humidity. 72F, sunny and 49% humidity. Did a lot outside in the yard today. Relaxing on the patio…
  23. Johnny Lightning made a nice 1/24th die cast '51 Studebaker coupe also.
  24. Vic's Resins also has a 1/25th partial resin kit (no chassis) of the Continental available through Southern Motorsports Hobbies, I don't have it but do have a couple other Vic's Resins kits..they are a bit on the rough side and require a lot of cleanup (not Modelhaus, etc level). https://stores.smhracing.com/1956-lincoln-mk-ii-1-25/
  25. The interior layout reminds me of the '78 Southwind 28 ft we had--it was our first Class A motorhome my folks had when I was growing up...it replaced a '73 Mobile Traveler 21 ft Class C that had a Dodge Sportsman van cab. The '73 was a 318, the '78 a 440. My folks next motorhome was an '86 Winnebago Chieftain 33ft Class A (same style that was modified in 'Spaceballs').
