  1. They probably determined that it wouldn't sell profitably. Americans just don't buy manuals in American cars much anymore (though they like them in German cars).
  2. Those wheels look similar to the ones in the Revell '40 Ford rod kit. The Woody would be a nice kit to see reissued as a 2n1 w/ the stock parts.
  3. Did anyone ever make a resin '65-66 Mustang coupe body to fit the Revell (Monogram) 1:24th '65-66? I can't recall ever having seen any listed by the various casters, and w/ the convertible being reissued, it would be nice to have a hardtop.
  4. Ouch..that makes me hurt down there just reading it...
  5. Only one pair of steel wheels?
  6. April '09 I've seen on some sites. The '70 Challenger R/T and '68 Mustang GT are out today, apparently. I ordered both from my favorite vendor.
  7. Very cool builds there...nice diverse selection of styles.
  8. It's not just the prototypes, though...I saw some normal looking 911s, F430s, RX-8s, a Mustang or two, Corvettes in the coverage...even a Pontiac G6!
  9. Yes, it made for great viewing...watched quite a bit last night and today.
  10. Interesting..is the Spring show (March something?) at the same location. I may be in Ohio in March for a few days..
  11. Wierd..strange things some people collect.
  12. I have the white boxed one, came out after the original red one. I I think the black boxed is just a re-issue, w/ different box art, same content.. Tamiya did that with several Ferrari kits a couple of years ago. I'm sure one of the Ferrari fanatics can answer w/ certainty, though.
  13. You make the 2dr coupe body, though, right?
  14. I think Jeff also makes a '71 Mustang coupe, must be 'secret' items, though, can't find them on the MCR resins site either..I definitely want to get one.
  15. I've got a bunch of the MPC, AMT and a few of the Monogram F-bodies in my stash to eventually build. Another neat one I have is a Revell 1:16 Z-28 w/ opening doors. Don't have any of the kits from '82-84, though.. I like these cars as they are from my teenage years, a popular car when I was in high school..I had several friends who had IROC-Zs, Trans AMs, GTAs.... I was in the Ford gang then w/ my Mustang GT (my senior class had 1/6 dozen GTs and LX 5.0s, IIRC).
  16. Went yesterday. Lots of cars. Was a lot of fun. Crowd seemed a bit thinner than it did last year. Spent only 4 hrs there this year.
  17. I haven't watched it yet, been tiVoing the coverage...but I'm going Saturday.. Should be fun. I went last year, spent 7 hrs wandering around looking at all the cars.
  18. Scale Equipment Ltd makes a nice set of Rally IIs with separate chromed trim rings. I've bought a few sets of them, they also sell them with out the trim rings which is good for Trans Ams and Judges. Reliable Resin makes Rally IIs also, I believe. http://www.seltd.net http://www.reliableresin.com/
  19. Yes. That I don't know..the original one is definitely gray, I don't have the reissue, so I don't know. It probably is, though. Most AMT's this decade have been molded in gray..
  20. Actually, IIRC, the original issue from the '90s (box art on the left) has a pic of a 1:1 Shelby on the box...the later issue (on the right) has a pic of a built kit. Many AMT kits in the mid '90s had real cars on the boxes, like the '67 Mustang, Explorers, etc.
  21. I'm sure Lucius and his crew will whip up a new one... looking forward to the next chapter. I liked the Burton movies with Michael Keaton back in the day, but the Nolan films with Christian Bale are by far my favorite Batman presentation..
  22. I like the Tumbler...it's too bad we haven't seen a kit of it. I never cared for the cartoonish design of the Burton era Batmobiles...
  23. Same kit...just different issues...the left one is mid '90s, the right one is mid '00s..
  24. Cool...never knew that kit existed. I have two E36 generation 3 series kits--the Dragon M3 (had to get that one, since it was similar to my 1:1) and the Tamiya 4dr (which was a Revell of Germany tool, IIRC).
  25. That's very sharp... I'm thinking of doing something similar myself, using parts from the Revell '69 BM Camaro. I figure I'll have to make the hood myself using the '69 BM scoop, I have a resin '72 Nova L88 style hood for the AMT '72, but it won't fit the Revell '69.
