  1. Beautiful job on your build. It looks perfect and the extra work on opening the doors just adds to the overall high quality. I don't recall ever seeing one of these built but it does look like a well detailed kit. Later-
  2. Looks good! That thing is going to take up a bit of table space. Later-
  3. Thanks guys! I appreciate it. Later-
  4. Thanks Carl. I got the BMF and Molotow done this morning. Working on smoothing the bumpers and grill so I can spray them with Molotow chrome. Later-
  5. I have them in external storage. I did the roof alterations back in 2017(?). I'll see if I can find some and post them. Thanks guys! Started the BMF a bit ago. Later-
  6. Thanks guys for the positive comments! I'm glad you guys like it. The masks work really well. Very simple to use. The only trouble is ensuring that you get them placed where you want them the first time. Later-
  7. I love every one of them! Nice work. Later-
  8. Gary, Not sure it would fit with your style of build but what about a 90's Chevy TPI setup. May be lower in height to give you clearance. Later-
  9. Gary, Not sure how you're sitting for parts for this but I have some spares. Let me know if there is anything you need for your build. Later-
  10. Nice color on the interior Lee. Can't wait to see this one finished. What a beautiful car! Later-
  11. Thanks Sam. Thanks. No, I only used one coupe roof and a strip of styrene close to 1/2 inch wide. Thank you. The idea is that the 4 slots around the center bullet would be digital ancillary gauges. It does look natural to me. Thanks. The grill reminds me of a Chevy grill now. Later-
  12. Thank you very much Fellas! I really like the look of the flames too and was surprised at how simple they were to do and how nice the fading of the colors turned out. Later-
  13. This is my next stalled project that I have been working on lately to try and get it finished. I started this build years ago to build a model of my cousin's 1:1 50 Ford Sedan. His was an unfinished project. I took measurements of his car. To pull it off I stretched the roof of a 49 Coupe and mounted it on a 50 Convertible. His plan for his 1:1 was to paint it Viper red. That idea didn't thrill me. Not long after completing the roof alteration on the model my cousin passed away and I put the project aside. About a year later I dug it back out and began personalizing it to how I would have built his 1:1. My idea is an attractive mild custom without being outrageous. Hence the "Girl Next Door". An understated beauty. Paint is HOK Goldmine Pearl with HOK Cocoa Pearl over that. Minor custom touches like removing the bullet from the grill, frenching the headlights and taillights, Connie kit and a few other mods. The mod I like the most is I customized the dash by using the grill bullet as a gauge pod for the dash. Plans are to use the engine from the 50 Ford pickup kit with a few custom touches and Pegasus spinner wheels and wide whites. Later-
  14. Thank you! Thanks Sam. I'm sure I can get one more but the 50 Ford might not make it under the wire. Still have a lot to finish on it. Later-
  15. Thanks guys! Later-
  16. I finished this one up this morning by putting on the front bumper, exhaust tips, license plate and a couple of decals. I also had to re-attach the clear piece for the hood ornament as I knocked it off twice! This build makes an even dozen for the year...and I may be able to finish another by year end. This one has been a long haul to get it completed but I'm finally moving it to Under Glass.
  17. I just finished this one this morning (#12 for the year). This one took a few years to get across the line and I'm glad to finally have it completed. The body and interior was sectioned about 1/8 inch. 56 Ford headlight buckets molded in. Used Lazy Modeler flame stencils and three colors for the flames. Many other major and minor alterations. Thanks for looking. Later-
  18. Gary, Good to see you and your work on here. It looks great and I can't wait to see what you do with it. Yeah Sam. This is the Impala that I sent you photos of and I sent Gary pics of your El Camino. Later-
  19. Honestly, this entire build other than the sectioning of the body and the stance that I wanted was somewhat of an afterthought. I had received the Lazy Modeler flame mask after I sectioned it. I began laying out the mask only to realize that since I had sectioned the body the flames would not fit the body as intended. I think that they still worked out fine. I kind of liked the flames working around the side trim so I am actually glad I left the trim. Later-
  20. Nice score! I picked up that Mustang off of a guy recently for $10. I really like that Unimog though!! Later-
  21. Thank you Misha. You should really like the next one I'm working on then. Thank you Tom. That stance was difficult to achieve. Later-
  22. Same here Lee. I appreciate it all. Very positive experience. Later-
  23. Got some work done on this thing this morning. Glass and interior is installed and I airbrushed the bumpers and grill with Molotow chrome. Now to let that dry a few days. Should be done by early next week! Later-
  24. I got quite a bit done today. Got the BMF done on my 49 Ford and got the glass and rearview mirror installed. Finished the dash and steering wheel for the 50 Ford and about half of the interior painted. I also got the chassis plate and engine block painted for my 63 Mercury Meteor. Later-
