Those both look amazing! Lots of tweeking to get those done. Can't wait to see the 41 done also. Later-

Sometimes I do. I may have to do it on this one because of the white. I have some grey panel accent that I may mix with a bit of the white and a bit of the pink separately and see how it looks. Later-

Thank you Carl! I actually just taped off the white and sprayed another coat of the pink. I had a couple of spots that I didn't like. Looks much better to me now. Into the dehydrator and BMF and clear tomorrow. Later-

Thanks! I would have shot the white first too but it was actually an afterthought. I was going to go with Graphite metallic instead of the Pearl white. So, here it is. No bleed under and I don't think it looks half bad. Should be able to finish this by Friday or Monday. Later-

I started painting this yesterday as a quick build while waiting on things for my other two projects to dry. Going to be just as intended, a Slammer with different wheels. I airbrushed Pure Ice "Free Fall" nail polish for the pink and HOK Plain White with a light coat of Testors White Lightning for the Pearl White. I'll be removing the tape in an hour or so. Hope there was no bleed under. Later-

This is a JImmy Flintstone Resin based on the AMT Black Force Slammers kit. No build thread yet. May not do one since it is just a curbside build. I will definitely post it in Under Glass though. Thanks! It is a fingernail polish I bought a couple of years ago. Going to try a Pearl white upper section. Possibly a fade. Later-

Wow! That is gorgeous!! Amazing detail work you're putting in to this. I enjoyed reading through this build to see all the little details, especially the magnets for the hood hinges. I've used those before on the hood and trunk lid on a Tamiya Beetle but never thought of using them the way you did for an open/closed hood. Great idea. Later-

Thanks! Very helpful. I will read back through it and make some notes on a few different brands to try. Later-

I'm looking to buy a set of drill bits (roughly #61-80) but I'm looking for a good set that will actually drill. A set that has a good, sharp tip. I've been trying to drill holes for the spark plugs wires on my engine. The sets I've bought recently take forever to get them to bore a hole! Does anybody know of a company making a set that isn't a cheap piece of garbage!! I'd prefer not to have responses such as "You get what you pay for" or "I bought a set 15 years ago that I'm still using." Those won't help unless the company is still selling the same set with the same quality. Unfortunately, the set I bought 20+ years ago that actually drilled a hole isn't made any more. Thanks for any info and/or links. Later-

69 Chevelle grill?
Modlbldr replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Great! Thanks for the info. Sam also sent me pictures of his built up Chevelle as further proof. Thanks guys. Later- -
These were what was already on the way. It's funny. I wasn't expecting the Caddy engine but it replaced the one I just gave you last week. Lol Later-

69 Chevelle grill?
Modlbldr replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't remember it having molded in headlights but I haven't looked at that kit in 25 years. Later- -
Does anyone know what kit this bumper comes from? I believe I have the rear bumper too but can't locate it right now. Later-

Got these over the last couple of days. 69 SCJ Mustang, 69 Cougar Eliminator, spare body and hood for the 30 Phaeton, a 59 Caddy engine and uptop, and an unopened old stock Pactra Enamel in Pearl White. Later-

That really turned out great John. You got me wanting to build another one of them with even more custom.mods than the last. Later-

Looks awesome the way the two bodies work so well together. That is also a great color and stance for the build. Nice work so far! Later-

My HLJ order true cost
Modlbldr replied to Bill Eh?'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah. I think I'm done doing any trading or selling for a while unless it is something that I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE! And, yes, I will be cracking down on myself. I have just about everything I could EVER NEED. Later- -
My HLJ order true cost
Modlbldr replied to Bill Eh?'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have to watch myself on this same point. Just to put my two cents in the pot. I went to mail a model kit yesterday from Washington state to Minnesota via the US Postal Service and the cheapest I could mail it was by ground for $31.25!! For one large box (26 in x 20 in x 5 in) that weighed 2 1/2 lbs. They told me the cost was because of the size. I'm going to rebox it. I can't believe how much shipping has increased. Later- -
Looking great John! For all it's shortcomings I still like this kit. Later-

Sure. Send it on up! Later-

Still plugging along on this. I got the interior completed. Lessened the ugliness by painting the seat main color white instead of yellow. Not as much yellow now. I also got the engine installed and the engine bay completed. I'm ready now to redo the BMF on the trim and get the glass in. I want to get this one off the bench!! Later-
